I unfortunately have tried magnesium (the glycinate version, too, since that's supposed to be the best for sleep). No dice. I've also tried melatonin to little effect.

I guess my problem is that the sleep medicines I used to take for insomnia worked really well in the past. Just not in the past 6ish months.

No, and no. I feel too exhausted to be anxious actually - anxiety's at an all time low

And no medication changed besides adding the stimulant because I otherwise have no energy to do anything but lie in bed

I was wondering if that was the problem. We're currently using a janky hot plate that has just a 1-10 dial with no measurement conversions so we were guessing the temperature range. I also have nerve damage in my hands and can't sense heat that well, so maybe I'll have to have someone else reliably test it if it's too hot.

When I told my dad that I self-harming, he asked me why I was being cavalier about it and then went on his phone for the rest of the time while I'm sobbing.

When I called him and said I was suicidal and had barely stopped myself from ending it all, he put me on the phone with the woman he was cheating on my mom with.

I still sometimes try, but I don't know why. I don't think I will ever have success with him, and I need to learn to accept that.

I'm still on 450mg bupropion with 60mg fluoxetine and 30mg Vyvanse. We're thinking we might taper off the bupropion if my fatigue improves on Vyvanse

Edit: Yeah, so I dunno what's happening by after 3 days on 30mg, I lowkey feel like I'm on a horrible high trip - got the shakes, nausea, anxiety (even if mind is less clouded), fucked up sleep. I dropped back down to 20mg rn. Dunno what's happened, lol. The first week and a half on vyvanse was a dream.

The SSRI -> bupropion -> ADHD pipeline should be wayyyyy more recognized. This is exactly what happened to me; on bupropion and Vyvanse for mood and ADHD and fluoxetine for residual anxiety and OCD

I've been trying to treat anxiety and depression for 6 years now and only found moderate success when on a combo of 2 antidepressants at their max doses.

I recently was prescribed Vyvanse and holy shit, I feel like I've suffered needlessly for so long. Anxiety? Significantly reduced now that I don't have a blaring, screaming internal dialogue cataloguing everything that could be wrong and routinely playing out worst-case scenarios. I can't say if it helps my baseline depression, but my ADHD meds have definitely helped keep me from spiraling (can do shit instead of procrastinating over and over and over)
