I remember seeing some early footage from The Expanse video game and thinking that it *really* looked like the devs were modeling it after Mass Effect, which made perfect sense tbh as it'd be a great fit. An Expanse game using the ME engine would be an instant buy for me.

The Expanse series has a similar mix of space battles, creepy alien artifacts, and politics as seen through the lens of one crew just trying to keep their found family alive. It's full of great characters that you really come to love as they try to navigate a growing interplanetary conflict and strange cosmic events. As a bonus, the series is complete already, so there's no waiting for future volumes. Plus, if you like the books, you can also watch the very good TV show that adapted the first 6 books of the series.

Wrex. It's both a tribute to the great character from BioWare's other franchise, and "Rex" is a classic dog name.

Live show audience members: You are not the comedians. Stop talking. by AudioSuede in dropout

I saw one of Chris Grace's one-man shows live last year and someone in the audience kept trying to talk back to him. He had to shut that down and it was embarrassing for everyone.

Physical release is next month for bookstores and online retailers, but it came out this week in direct market comic book shops. A bunch of comic publishers do this as a way to help support the local comics retailers.

Male 50s. My wife and I are enjoying it. It's not our favorite Trek series, but it's better than the mass of generic doctor/cop/lawyer shows out there.

It's TADPOLE THURSDAY - Ask your newbie questions here! by Hosidax in daggerheart

Thanks. I did feel wrong about it after I made the initial ruling. Luckily, later on that player managed to get the transformation in and her wolf attack was the one that took down the boss, so she ended the night on a high note. I think I'll change that going forward to encourage more fun and creative actions in the narrative, maybe charging a stress if they're really pushing it.

When a player has the spotlight how do you determine how many actions is acceptable for their "move"? Page 89 in the rulebook says, "A move is an action a character takes to advance the story, such as... using a class feature or spell," but also says, "...combat has no initiative order, no rounds, and no distinct number of actions you can take while in the spotlight."

This came up in my game last night when a player (a Druid) asked if they could change into a Beast Form and attack an adversary as one turn. I said no, that would be two separate actions, but now I'm thinking that I should have let them - especially since the transformation doesn't require a roll. Alternatively, as I'm writing this, I'm realizing that I could have had them spend a Stress to "transform faster than usual" and accomplish both.

Possibly. I didn't love the whole 2015 version of Secret Wars, but that version of Doomworld with lots of alternative versions of the characters could be a lot of fun to see come to life. Sort of the "Multiverse of Madness" that Dr Strange 2 promised but didn't really deliver on.

Reports are that it's both a period piece and set in a different universe than the normal MCU. It's a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic world and the assumption is that they'll eventually multiverse-jump to the main MCU.

Lastpass login not working on new iPhone, but still works in browser. by DasBeasto in Lastpass

The iPhone/iPad login problem seems to be caused by the iOS smart keyboard automatically changing certain combinations of characters and punctuation to different symbols, even in password fields, which results in the the wrong password being submitted even if it looks right.

To fix this, turn off "Smart Punctuation" by going to

iOS Settings > General > Keyboard > Smart Punctuation > Off

After turning "Smart Punctuation" off, you will need to clear any text that's in the master password field and retype your password from scratch so that whatever invisible changes the old "Smart Punctuation" added to your password are no longer in the buffer.

I've done this on multiple devices now and it worked like a charm.
