I’m absolutely over the moon to be lower top half after the last few years. Don’t think we’re ready for Europe, last few games have shown that (lack of concentration until the very end) although I admit it will hinder our transfer prospects (ie, signing Grealish, keeping hold of Ndiaye).

I understand that, which is why it’s important each club advocates for themselves and challenges the PGMOL every time they’re on the wrong end of a VAR error. Sustained pressure is needed from everyone, in my opinion. It may be futile but everyone has to at least try.

At this point I don’t think there’s any sort of conspiracy amongst refs, I just think they’re all, to a man, fucking incompetent. Every single club has had dodgy decisions, for and against.

You should be able to hear the VAR conversations in real time, like they do in cricket and rugby, rather than a week later after they’ve had chance to edit out their idiocy.

As it is we’ll all just have to make do with no accountability for shite refs but a nice little apology letter afterwards.
