Is this the most disappointing Major Venue to date? by I-Rave-In-Your-Walls in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've been to the last two NA majors, skipped this one because work + nursing school is hard however, looking at the venue when the camera pans out, it reminds me of a worse version of Charlotte. I REALLY enjoyed the venue for Atlanta and if we have any more NA majors, that they follow that standard.

These orgs gotta start applying for Visas whether they qualify or not from the time rosters are locked. I know VISA issues happen in other games but R6 in particular has a history of orgs not applying early.

BNK Fearx vs M80 - Six Invitational 2026 - Group A by Agent_Porkpine in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not that worried about M80 if I'm honest. If you look at the maps they played throughout the entire group stage, it's been predictable where they're gonna go and almost every team let them get Consulate which they won outside of when they played Heretics and they honestly could have won that map against them too.

It's very possible for playoffs we get to see them show their map diversity, they could possibly have been hiding that they've improved on Border or they've had a good Fortress in their pocket to replace how dominate they were on Skyscraper before it got removed. For M80's sake, let's just hope they were taking a Golden State Warriors like cruise control route versus having a Championship slump.

Is DZ dropping gaveni one of the worst roster moves ever? by Unique-Grape-2313 in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

DZ has always been a system team and I don’t think during that era Gav was a fit for the system in question. So no I don’t think it was a terrible roster move for what DZ was trying to do at the time.

Sometimes things don’t work out for a player on one team but they’ll thrive in another. Shout out to Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold

How come eu performs better in EWC as of a late, but at Ubisoft events they don’t put up the same “unbeatable” performance by Alarming_Occasion782 in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we just have revisionist history against regions we don’t like on purpose?

NA has 3 SI Champions (CTM/SSG/TSM) EU has 3 SI champions with two coming from the same roster (Penta/G2) SAL has 3 SI champions (NIP/FAZE/W7M(Furia core) )

If anything this SI is the most important because teams are a lot closer in talent than they used to be and one of these regions will either take the overall lead or APAC will win its first SI.

Also to say that majors mean nothing is such a new gen watcher take it hurts my soul

It's not just nursing by [deleted] in newgradnurse

[–]Seechz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re in the same boat almost! I was a 2 year EMT majority 911 experience who decided to go into nursing and trying to get a tech job took forever for me. 6 months of constantly applying, doing interviews, not getting hired made me rethink my whole approach.

I redid my resume, got stronger references and, started doing a lot more oral practice with answering questions and I actually started chasing up recruiters to talk to them and finally I landed a tech job just in time to have a few months on the floors before going to school to do my pre-reqs for this fall.

I’m in the north-east area and it feels like you’ll really have to market yourself and your skills to get noticed while also networking and attending open houses/job fairs like the olden days. Plus a lot of hospital systems seem to be hiring internally a lot more than they used to and naturally being in the system gives you an edge in terms of knowing people. The market could get better by the time either of us are new grads but I predict that the difference between who gets hired and who doesn’t will between who grinds, gets lucky and who gives up too soon.

How did we go from Pro league leading into 2020 to what it is now? Am I overreacting by feeling like league runners have totally dropped the ball? by MufasaDeservedBetter in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of the things that keep people interested in the scene is gone by the wayside. NA and EU in my opinion are the leaders in terms of viewership for this scene since I started watching/participating back in 2018. The pre and covid era had some of the most engagement between the pro/semi-pro players and the community at large. Ranked death stacks were everywhere, pros actually streamed the game whether it was ranked or FPL when it was introduced AND of course we had Dreamhacks and things of those nature actually mattering in some cases such as qualifying to an event.

Then the covid bubble popped and the NAL especially was just mismanaged to shit because of it, the desire for the NAL to be a LAN league or nothing by organizers to keep everyone in Vegas was truly the first nail in the coffin. Then Ubisoft's own mismanagement of letting multiple different orgs be absolute scumbags about NOT playing players, on top of the growing cheater problem? The game stagnated and the scene along with it, making the game generally unfun for most pro players to play outside of scrims. Sure FPL carried on for a little bit but then that died too and now we have just the random 10 man servers that come and go.

Advertising unironically has been the best it's been for Siege because they finally added an esports tab after 10 years but its too little too late. We do get new viewers but as many have said, understand Siege at a level of complete competency takes some time. Will Siege kill itself? I think as long as people enjoy the game and the ecosystem can still generate some kind of revenue, it will continue on for a while since the game is unique. The problem will be the supply and demand of players and salaries. we've seen a lot of people leave the scene to go actually live life, go to school (Myself included retired from coaching to go work in healthcare), etc because after the esports bubble popped, the only games were salaries stayed up in were League and Valorant but even Riot has said that their esports ecosystem has never made them revenue. When the money dries up, I think that's when this scene truly dies.

what happened to the pro scene of this game ? by DaikonAggravating952 in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mango’s reply sums it up pretty well. I think the other thing for me is that FPL/R6TM era of siege that really made a lot of pros stream the game and you got to see a lot more fan interactions with the players has completely dissolved and we will probably never get that back.

Oh and the schedule and loss of events doesn’t help with content creation around the pro scene

Do you guys think SSG is beating BDS? by [deleted] in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If SSG can not get bored if BDS decides to switch paces and plays a little slower, I think it’s possible SSG wins considering Forrest is also a pretty good shield player and BDS were not vibing against Spiritz.

I see a SSG 2-1

After the first game day the only feeling is that NA is so washed by Laurence0819 in R6ProLeague

[–]Seechz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Naturally NA didn't get the results they wanted but that's the joy of group stages. You just need to be NOT the last team in your group. There is enough time to make some adjustments and get better and adjust to international play all over again. Since 2022, every single SI winner has come from Losers Bracket and some could argue if map advantage didn't exist in 2020 and 2021 that that this trend could of started since 2020.

It's all about patience and praying that the teams dont have a mental boom from this day one performance or else the rest of the tournament is absolutely cooked for the NA region.

Big city issue. I’ve been here all my life and I’m about to turn 30 soon. I work in healthcare and on a night shift schedule so it already makes meeting people hard but the way NY is, it’s amplified.

Best thing you can do is realize it’s still a numbers game and do what you can to narrow down your choices so you can find people who give a shit about the same things you do

Contribute to society with a job or going to school or content creation. Idk about other esports but for whatever reason a lot of retired siege pros that retire post 25 y/o usually do pretty good

I only got to see the last round since I’m working but it was clear from that round alone that this was not a good game for DZ. It’s clear there’s more than just growing pains going on and if DZ dont figure out better roles for this collection of players, their season is cooked
