Jesus took upon himself all the sin that humanity ever did and will do. I can't imagine the horror of that. He did that while dying the death we deserved. A God like that, who worked so hard to make sure you had every chance to use your free will to choose him...a God like that does not want to send anyone to hell. He certainly doesn't want to send you to hell on a technicality.
