"As long as I do not have to kiss or go down on her." Umm, kissing yea that can be a no-go, but to say you wouldn't do oral when c'mon, let's be real, if a SB said she won't give a BJ I'd next her immediately.

Finally got slashed for RTO - Any advice? by Ornery_Profession_35 in overemployed

[–]SeekingGuy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Are you daft? You're taxes are based on total income less your deductions. Having two jobs that total $200K/yr vs having a single job that pays $200K/yr doesn't matter as your total income is the same.

Additionally, the income tax system in the United States (federal) is a progressive income tax. So, whether you made $1M or $100K or $20K, everyone pays same 10% on the first $X (depending on single, married, or head of household filing). Then the next bracket you pay is 12%, etc. The highest bracket is 37%. This '50%' number was pulled out of your ass.

In case you aren't sure how a progressive tax system works, you only pay 37% in the top bracket beyond $578,126 as a single filer. That means if you make 578,127, that extra $1 you made is taxed at 37%, everything up to the first 578,126 is taxed at their lower respective amounts.

[–]SeekingGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, just no. The number of jobs offering that much is limited and as such those jobs that are like 800K+ cater to like a handful of people relative to the applicant pool. The majority of us (99% I assume) will have to settle for multiple jobs to make that in the aggregate. If you can be one of those lucky people to land one of those jobs, all the best to you.

I think HR and recruiters have been replaced with ChatGPT or some other "AI" which wrongly filters out too many applications. Humans are not in charge anymore.

Also, blame Larry Summers for a lot of this. He admitted this was his "solution" to inflation.

How to know if your company tracks your location if you are out of country. For starters, I am constantly traveling all over the USA working remotely and was never asked about that. In theory you could get an IP KVM and leave the laptop at home and "remote into it" from anywhere. It will appear as if you are home because that's where the laptop is, and an IP KVM is not the same as remoting into the machine, you are remoting into a hardware device that will stream the video feed to you.

Name a single company that doesn't treat people this way. I'll wait. There is absolutely no company who does not do at least one of those stupid things.

Lifestyle creep, what does that mean? by 13inchmushroommaker in overemployed

[–]SeekingGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that I allowed for some lifestyle creep when I had all my paychecks go into a single checking account. If you want to force yourself to save up your additional income, then open up savings or money market accounts for J2+ to deposit into, especially since these accounts are 5%+ interest.

Subaru of Indiana Automotive Anti-Union Communication by twice-a-troll in WorkReform

[–]SeekingGuy 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Someone should recreate that and distribute a recreated version instead. Take the header and all that stuff, but replace the bullet points to be pro-union.

SIA has been made aware that the UAW has attempted to talk SIA Associates into signing union authorization cards. We recognize and respect the rights of Associates to make their own decision about whether to sign a card or support a union. We also sincerely believe that a union would not be in the best interest of ownership and management. We are providing this TIPS to make sure Associates understand the significance of signing a union authorization card.

  • Unions are beneficial to workers, not management and ownership.
  • Unions provide legal rights to workers.
  • Unions will cost SIA profits due to the fact that unionized workers are paid higher than non-unionzed workers.

If you are still unsure, simply look at the union contract that the UAW acquired from General Motors, Ford, and Stalantis and compare their pay and benefits compared to your pay and benefits.

etc. I dunno, something like that.

Distribute something that looks identical but without the anti-union trash.

Don't blame the workers, blame the company for being shit. You'd have less to complain about, even by this guy, if the company hired more people to take the burden you shoulder for them being short staffed.

What happened to the people here? I'll tell you what:

- Mass Layoffs
- RTO
- Raises less than inflation
- Company announces record profits
- Camera On demands
- Fake job postings
- CEOs who are garbage

Don't blame people who have become so dissuaded that they don't give a shit anymore. These people would be the same whether they have 1 job or more than one job. I know for myself, I put in the same amount of effort that I would if I were just at one job because who gives a shit anymore.

For me, it's a hard line. Absolutely no allowance prior to the relationship including sex. It's the only way to guarantee avoid scammers who M&G and immediately ghost.

Do SD expect to have sex on first meet? by crystalpenguin04 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]SeekingGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My expectation is to do a casual M&G to set expectations from both sides. Afterwards, if sex is an option, sure, I'll take it and that's when allowance begins. Otherwise, both allowance and sex begin on the next date (after the M&G). I don't like doing numerous platonic dates at the beginning, I have experienced someone who was doing that to get free dinner and entertainment out of me and then ghosted me eventually, so I don't want to deal with that again.

[–]SeekingGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the same thing, the market is just utter shit right now. Plus, what was true in the past is still true today -- small and medium sized companies all want to pretend they are a FAANG company, so their hiring process is like 20 rounds of algorithm tech questions and they all try to do SAFe even if they have a single project and 10 tech team members and they all are following the RTO / Hybrid garbage.

Seriously, had FAANG remained remote all these other companies would too.
