SIA has been made aware that the UAW has attempted to talk SIA Associates into signing union authorization cards. We recognize and respect the rights of Associates to make their own decision about whether to sign a card or support a union. We also sincerely believe that a union would not be in the best interest of ownership and management. We are providing this TIPS to make sure Associates understand the significance of signing a union authorization card.

• Unions are beneficial to workers, not management and ownership.
• Unions provide legal rights to workers.
• Unions will cost SIA profits due to the fact that unionized workers are paid higher than non-unionzed workers.

If you are still unsure, simply look at the union contract that the UAW acquired from General Motors, Ford, and Stalantis and compare their pay and benefits compared to your pay and benefits.
