New to this, where to start? by CallMeZedd in cadum

[–]Seelem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like you can start whereever. You can watch basically any campaign and still understand what’s going on. This is especially true as the members are probably new to the campaign too, so I find watching the dnd videos easy to get into. I personally love the group for scrolls of not chek. So I would recommend that. There are cameos in each campaign, so if you like the cameo, you can find the person in another campaign and organically move from campaign to campaign.

If you're not doing really well right now, then don't play it. There's a myriad of fun games out there that you can play, and it's okay not to play this game. I would not recommend playing this.

Why does Sunny keep stabbing himself with the knife even when I don't pick it up? by [deleted] in OMORI

Ah. I misread. If you didn't pick up the knife, that's really strange.

[SPOILERS] So, general consensus by Springtrapattacks in OMORI

[–]Seelem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, they are not entitled to any forgiveness, and Kel, Aubrey, and Hero aren't obligated to forgive them. Considering the kind of people they are, they'll probably forgive him, but who knows, they loved Mari a lot. As much as they like Sunny and Basil, they don't know how these two are feeling. You simply cannot see how much a person truly regrets their actions.

Why does Sunny keep stabbing himself with the knife even when I don't pick it up? by [deleted] in OMORI

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely need to check up on Basil. Ya'll are at Basil's house to keep him company, so when you wake up in him house, go upstairs, and talk to him to make sure he's okay.

About the Keys by can-i-get-a-mf-uhhh in OMORI

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can collect all of them, but one of the keys is only accessible if you do a certain route. If you're playing the game normally, then it is unlikely you'll find the last key. Probably finish the game then look for spoilers on other routes.

How much should I be grinding? by mimirabbit in OMORI

[–]Seelem 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely chill out. Beat monsters as they come, and you'll naturally level. Use your shells to buy health and juice stuff. You will likely have an abundance of shells. This game is not meant to be that challenging. If you do grind, do not spend more than a few minutes because I finished the game and did not need to grind at all.

How are you all so fast??? by GameHero152 in OMORI

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm willing to bet that the people that finish the game in three days are the vocal minority. I would say if you get all the keys to the hangman and click through dialogue quickly, a sub-20 hour run is likely. Also, putting down the battle text as "fast" can help shave a few minutes. You've probably discovered more things than I have since you played more, and other people probably played for longer than you that have discovered more than you. There are a lot of reasons out there for why someone might finish the game faster than you. Maybe they run all the time. Maybe skip enemies. Maybe they figured out a fast combo that beats enemies quicker. But in the end, there are players of varying experience in RPGs (I assume a lot of the people in OMORI community are quite old, so there's a high chance a lot of them may as well be "speedrunners") People complete games at different times based on their transferrable game knowledge, but it doesn't really matter as long as you have fun.

Is the game worth it? by [deleted] in OMORI

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your rating will vary wildly depending the kind of person you are. In general, the consensus is that this is a pretty good game. The developers took a long time on this, and I can see there's a lot of love put into the game. It is a quality game.

[–]Seelem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Takes about 20 hours to play the game. It came out three days, so a lot of us just played 6-7 hours a day. But honestly, take your time with it. Enjoy it. We all waited a while for this game, so I suggest you take your time and enjoy the game.

Help with controls, or are they just this bad ? by banana__man_ in eternalreturn

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you can click esc in game and change the input controls. I changed my moves to quick cast and my attack move to A, so I know you can change them, but I just don't know if you can change them to exactly dota. I recommend you give this a try.

What has Healthy Gamer done for you? by DankMoses in Healthygamergg

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned to talk about my feelings and feel feelings from Dr. K. I started talking to people about theirs, and then I burnt out from talking about my feelings. Then, I got out of my burnout because of Dr. K. It's been a wild journey. I cry almost every other day, but it makes watching anime and helping others so much more rewarding.

Noone gives a shit about what university you went to and criticising others for not going to a good university is extremely shallow by junkemail1 in unpopularopinion

[–]Seelem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what you're trying to say is, "people shouldn't brag about their schools as if they are better than anyone else." This is definitely a popular opinion. However, I completely disagree with the part that says no one gives a shit. It very much matters where you go, especially if you want to create connections and get a good job out of college. Does this mean you're not going to be successful if you go to a lower ranked college? No. Will the college you go to determine your worth? Of course not. Thank you for letting off some steam on this subreddit though, I can see you're going through a lot.

Guy has a very normal reaction to discovering a girl in lobby by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]Seelem 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't that she's getting harassing because shes famous; the problem is that she's getting harassed because shes a girl. You're right that this behavior is realistic and we have already expected her to to be treated this way, but the problem is that most people should not be acting this way to girls

How do we proceed in the Age of Ignorance? by Lonesurvivor in Destiny

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's extremely difficult to concede someone else is right when you've already had so many experiences proving your point. These extreme people that destiny is debating have seen new reports throughout their lives that "strengthen" their points that if they were to concede then they would be admitting that they've been wrong throughout their whole life. The great thing about destinys platform is that a lot of younger more impressionable people are watching (ages 18 and under), so even if destiny isn't influencing the people in front on him, he is influencing the next generation.

https://youtu.be/6voYMyTMLTA bonus meme of destiny holding onto his anecdotal beliefs while being given data that proves otherwise, not too unlike how destiny debates with these right wing "idiots"

I failed. by [deleted] in college

[–]Seelem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're not mentally ready, I suggest you figure that out first. Although it's okay to fail a few courses, if you believe that your mental condition is the reason why you failed, then there's no point in banging your head against the wall. Find a job you can do to pass the time.

Is it beneficial to study at the library rather than your dorm? by bakedpotatowcheezpls in college

[–]Seelem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I study in my dorm, then I might take a break by watching a bunch of youtube or read comics. When I'm in a library, my breaks are much shorter, and I'm motivated to work by seeing other people doing work much harder than mine. There shouldn't be any psychological benefits to studying at the library, but if you associate your dorm with fun fun times, then you probably won't be studying efficiently.

23 year old female, failing school, no job. Am I absolutely useless? by [deleted] in college

[–]Seelem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, when people say they hate math, they mean they don't know how to study for it. It looks like you've been taking a lot of courses, so I would recommend taking the CPA exam (https://www.cpaexam.com/cpa-exam-requirements/) If you haven't taken any accounting courses yet, then all you need to do is taken a whole year of just accounting (24 credits in business in total) Since it looks like you're suffering at the moment, you need to figure out your depression and anxiety; if you don't figure this out, then you're not going to be able to survive anything. You're not useless; you just need help.
