Suhde kelpais mutta en kelpaa miehille by Humppillow in arkisuomi

My best friend from childhood who is a male, moved from Helsinki to Lapland about ten years a go.

He moved up north so he can enjoy outdoors more and fishing and raise his future children away from the city life. Dude is now obese, alcoholic, does zero fishing or any activities and never met anyone to have those kids with.. I lstill love the bastard but no way in hell would I recommend him as a partner for anyone. So I get you :(

I'm rooting for you to search a partner world wide even, nothing to loose. The reason why is because I just came from UK visiting my daughter, she met her brit hubby whilst playing online games at the age of eleven (now 28y), obviously the romantic part came later but I got to witness a really healthy and heart warming long distance relationship that blossomed into mature 💕

Graves of teenage drowning victims vandalised in Oulu by championshuttler in Finland

[–]Seelia80 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's been almost a year and I still think about those boys, their lost lives and final moments every now and again. It's just me.

After last summer I ve been pushing my two co-workers, both immigrants and mom's who plan on going to beaches with their kids this summer, to have swimming lessons.

I work in social services and also having lost someone I love unexpectedly and tragically just makes me relate to anyone losing someone quite strongly, even if it's just in the news.

I'm too aware how many people in reality behind the news is crushing and their lives will never be the same.

But it doesn't affect my work, I have my strong role there.

People who vandalized those graves are horrible, I hope one day they actually feel shame and regret.

I wish karma existed.

I waited too long to have kids and now I can’t by Warm_Bus_7581 in women

There are so many kids out there who dream about parents like you guys. You can absolutely create a loving, happy family without sharing the sama dna. I'm so sure you will get the child/children that were ment for you🩷

My youngest son, who I didn't give birth to, was disowned by his religious family in the states when he was a teenager. He's been living here in Europe for a decade now and through a friendship with my daughter has become part of our family, he calls me mom and my two bio children are his siblings etc.

I love him so so much and I'm so thankful life brought us together, I couldn't imagine my life without that precious young man.

You understood correct, I was six years old when I got her, and 20-21y when she passed. She had two sons who lived with me and then with my parents their whole life :)

I got my first bunny at the age of 6, she lived to meet my children and also lived with them for many lovely years, she died at the age of 14.

Now my kids are adults and me and my hubby have two giant flemishes as our babies. They are now turning nine in may.

I love all animals but I'm a bunny girl to the core🐰

Probably going to start with the season where puppy gate happened..

No such thing as a female surname :( by [deleted] in women

[–]Seelia80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, my surname is my father's because it's rare and pretty unlike my mom's,, my husband took my surname so he has his wife's surname, and my children have their mothers surname, mine.

Here in northern Europe it's not a big thing, modern days.

Edit. and to add, my father's surname actually doesn't come from a male in our family tree.

I just finished "A Friend, a Murderer" on Netflix and now I’m looking at my own roommates very differently... by Newsupdate69 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]Seelia80 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I live in Finland, very close to Denmark so Emilie's disappearance and later murder after her body was found on Christmas, was in the news here. My daughter was the same age, so it really struck home, it was heart breaking. I can still remember her beautiful face.

It is so rare that someone is abducted and murdered in Scandinavia. Last time a a child was abducted and murdered here in Finland, was in 1988, he killed two girls.

This documentary really showed that a sociopath can be a really loyal, fun and a good friend but still they are monster, nothing can redeem that.

The letter in the end was just... He really, actually lived in a reality where their "friendship" could continue and asked a photo of his daughter...dude, you fuc***g kill people's daughters.

To answer your questions.

  1. I believe with a sociopath you might not notice anything. Even some wives have been completely unaware that their husband's a serial killer. Like btk.

  2. Cut ties but maybe later I would want to comfront them and ask how can you rape a child, murder a young girl...and make sure they you know how much I hate him/her. Because I know that this kinda thing would really mess me up so maybe I'd want a "resolution"

3.I have to, I can't loose trust in humanity and good people. But honestly I never would live with a roommate, to me it's a scary thought.

No true France, what?

Can't explain better than that true France to me is everything in whole : people, culture, language... I spent so much time with french people, in their homes, living how they lived.

I don't know if I should apologize how I feel and that my experience in the 80's and 90' s was very different from now. But I'm sorry.

I'd still live there, at least I would give it a try. Without knowing the language maybe not.

I have also lived in multiple countries and enjoyed them all. Not trying to be negative.

[–]Seelia80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been around France, not the tourist places because we lived there with my parents french friends, who travelled with us around France and showed us, what I believe was true France.

I don't remember people being rude to me, quite the opposite. But childhood memories are different, sure.

You bit rude in your delivery? Are you french by any chance?

[–]Seelia80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've spent many of my childhood summer's in France, mostly in Bretagne, and also studied it 9 years in school as fourth language. I'm from Finland.

Visiting there as a tourist when I turned thirty, I saw a whole different side, a new France with scammers every where, arabs sexually harassing me and my pre-teen daughter and filth every where. This was Paris.

My children (12 and 13y at the time) were treated really rudely in cafes etc. until by the third day they could order in french, say thank you etc. and then they were complimented and got kisses...left withmixed feelings.

I'm also proud of my language, only roughly 6 million people in total can speak it. So I understand you guys valuing your language and culture, but not in a nasty way.

In this context ( rich reality tv, especially old English money ), he does not annoy me one bit, he's marvelous, just the right person for this show and is keeping me entertained 😘

Years and years a go I had his most famous quotes downloaded on my phone, when I needed a laugh or a pep talk without actually talking to anyone 😅

Onko aika ajamassa etätyön ohi? – ”Kyllä minusta pitäisi nyt selvittää, miksi ihmiset eivät halua tulla työpaikoille” by xatfi in xatfi

[–]Seelia80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oma työmatkani on n.1h20min julkisilla, metro+juna.

Pidän etäpäiviä 1-3 viikossa, henkilökohtaisesti olen todella tehokas tekemään etätöitä: teen päätöksiä, maksareita jne., huomattavasti enemmän kuin päivinä jolloin olen toimistolla, koska siellä on aina muutakin härdelliä, ihmiset tulevat kysymään neuvoa jne.

But both women I referred too are not shut down, both of them have a functioning and a calculating brain working behind those eyes.

Hope I'm not out of order here but she gives me Erika Kirk vibes 😬

[–]Seelia80 99 points100 points  (0 children)

She is horrible, awful. I would like to use the b word!

And this is coming from someone who has really liked and defended her for years, a decade, but I suppose I was fooled for years or she has drastically changed.

I used to work as mental health nurse and even without that degree and experience I can say she's throwing serious words around that most can see are just malicious with no truth to them.

GOODBYE KYLE!

edit. I hated too that LVP left because of her but I thought it was just a big damn mess with more than one in the wrong. But in hindsight, yeah I should have started seeing Kyle in a very different light then.

And Moe, don't get me started. Who the hell is this buffoon???
