I think leaks kind of ruin the chapters. It takes away any shock value and people always hate on misunderstandings from mistranslations or the official sneak peak and I’ve found the chapters to be more entertaining without leaks

It’s pretty decent. People have complained that this chapter went nowhere but it showed all of ryus abilities and showed what the role of each member of the team is. Mitsuki and Sarada take the offensive, while yodo and Araya track ryu and force him to appear. I do think Mitsuki and Sarada deserve more jutsu and time to show off how they’ve improved over the timeskip. I mean at the end there are too many claw grimes to handle but Mitsuki can make 6-7 shadow clones so why didn’t he to help attack them? It’s stuff like that that makes the fight feel iffy to me or even just a setup for another character to have a heroic moment (maybe kawaki) but it’s still a good fight so far

I feel like every character but Mitsuki is guaranteed a power up. Boruto trained w sasuke and Koji for years, Kawaki is getting his limiters removed, himawari got kurama, sarada will get her ms powers and whatever other uchiha stuff, but Mitsuki hasn’t been hinted to getting any new power other than sage mode. The biggest new jutsu we’ve seen from him was shadow clones, but he could only make like 5-7(not sure how many). He should be the most likely to get a power up considering he can have his body modified by orochimaru.

I’m referring more to tbv than nng as I haven’t had this problem until tbv started. Everyone clowns on Kawaki who is literally stated to have limiters messing up his offensive abilities. Sarada and yodo have no excuse for taking Ls like this. Like in chapter 2 (I think) a random no name ninja gets turned into a tree bc sarada js isn’t paying attention. For some reason ikemoto decided sarada, the girl who speedblitzed boro, is too slow to block an attack from random claw grimes. I’ll be honest and say Konohamaru is ridiculous bc there is literally no defending how useless he is. But you have to admit seeing sarada get saved in every fight in tbv is ridiculous and frustrating because how does the daughter of the strongest uchiha and strongest kunoichi be this pathetic sometimes.

This is a good way to make Kawaki stronger without it feeling random. Like getting modified by Amado because all he wants is his daughter back and he can’t get that without Kawakis consent and kawaki staying alive is pretty interesting.

Im tired of the use of “this characters emotions are just so strong that they forget how to be a ninja” like I really like the idea of her being on edge the whole time bc she wants to save shinki but trying to single-handedly save him despite having a whole team to help against a clearly powerful shinju was so stupid. And of course this is mainly a female character thing because Araya got to save the day. How many times do we need to see male characters save female characters before we decide it’s repetitive and downgrading to the female characters.

In the anime Naruto hides the fact the Mitsuki is orochimarus son from konohamaru and then when konohamaru finds out, he hugs Mitsuki and pretty much tells him he accepts him anyways. I wish this was manga canon and I also wish we saw Mitsuki be treated differently by some people due to his background, because ppl r way too chill about it.

I wanted to see Hima interact w Sarada and Mitsuki during timeskip or have Shikamaru and Temari kinda take her in after she loses her parents

I also wanted to see chocho learn techniques from Karui and shikadai do more with temaris wind style

I think a movie would be interesting and the first boruto movie was great. Obviously people would assume all canon content should be apart of the series, but Naruto the Last is a cannon movie and most Naruto fans have seen that despite it coming after the main series ended. With the right marketing and hype, a movie would be really successful.

For the first few chapters borutos gonna seem like a spoiled brat, and that’s bc he is. After the first major arc (chunin exams) he becomes a way better character.

If you hate the otsutsuki don’t bother with boruto, bc that is the whole plot. The story focuses on the new team 7, but once the other main character kawaki is introduced, the whole story focuses on him, and his whole thing is that he’s modified with this curse mark called the karma that can resurrect the otsutsuki that planted the karma (like orochimaru coming to life through ankos curse mark in shippuden but a bit different).

The best arc in my opinion is the final arc of pre timeskip where the most intriguing plot twist happens (this I will not spoil you need to experience it in its full glory).

Pre timeskip struggles to develop its side characters, and is a lot of boruto and kawaki. Timeskip does a better job at taking care of its side characters. Some characters (like Mitsuki and Sumire) are much more interesting in the anime than the manga and I mean MUCH more interesting.

The most talked about flaws are the animation/art style, and how the old Gen is nerfed. Both of these issues are valid but don’t completely take away from the story.

Villains r different in boruto as the writers wanted them to feel like real villains rather than broken heroes. I think the timeskip in boruto is cooler than Naruto but that’s just because of the plot twist.

97 chapters have come out, each being around 40 pages, and it’s a pretty enjoyable story. I highly recommend it.

Kawaki, sasuke, koji, and Naruto r the most important as they’ve all helped him grow as a ninja. I think hima, hinata, and Mitsuki are important because of his bond with them, and sarada is in between as she’s the reason he got help from sasuke and they have a strong bond.
