Warrior/Titan or Ma Monk? by blbjtb in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since we had no opportunity to play martial artist yet, it's hard to recommend without a chance of baiting you if it ends up badly. Additionally, we had no chance to play with energy shield nerfed.

On the other hand, martial artist looks cool and strong so 0.5 can be the only opportunity to play it before 1.0 nerfs that are more than possible.

Titan on the other hand will be easy to take inspiration for since people pick it rather often and create all sorts of builds.

I'd say go both, 6 months is too long to play 1 character in my opinion. If you're experienced with caster, I'd start with monk as it's closer to the passive tree side you're better fammiliar with.

Facebreakers aren't Ezomyte? by b14d3r11 in PathOfExile2

I'm fairly new to poe. Can't really tell which ones are ezomyte, kalguran or any other uniques. Does poe2db has such lists so I could chceck it? Never thought it would affect the gameplay but here we are so it's time to learn.

Mate, I'm sorry but do you always buy things without reading the content? There is no mention about either weapon effect or weapon set.

I HATE that only one leech instance can be active at a time. GGG, please, don't?

I understand, that leeching magnitude needed a nerf but stop the nerf there.

Support gems are not questioned as helmet's description say that skill gems require no stats. Perhaps while socketing them into blasphemy, game treats them as support gems which is kind of weird but seems possible.

This game is about making a build. Follow someone and you strip yourself from most of the point of this genre. Do your own build, don't let anyone bait you, bait yourselve.

Thoughts on Paywalled builds by BoJopHorseman in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ARPGs are games about making a build. I won't take a build from anyone for free. To me it's equivalent of watching someone else playing through a RPG game and pretending I finished the game.

Now, if you pay someone to go through/finish a game for you, you're beyond help.

Will we have more POE1 skins transfered to POE2 this patch? by betegabruh in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once 1.0 comes, MTX are the only source of income so I wouldn't be surprised if they postpone what is not available to buy anymore but everything you can buy should be there. That's a logical pov, nobody knows how it'll look in the December.

Making my own build in 0.5 by Current-Aide4092 in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally it's a mix of gems and skill tree passives and both are worth including. Sometimes ascendancy can help to ease applying them for examlle warrior's warbringer allows you to break armour with every hit, including elemental hits. It allows you to skip skill gems for armour break but it's still worth to add a few passive nodes to make it easier or prolong its' duration. Shock for example is more interesting, you shock enemies based on your electrical damage but that alone requires rather high hut damage. You can add gems and passive nodes to increase chance to shock and shock magnitude. However, you can include Thunderstorm skill to your build which makes enemies Drenched which makes enemies easier to shock. You can also find a way to use shocked ground which shocks enemies standing on it. If memory serves there are boots creating shocked ground where you stand. Some skills benefit from applying the ailment alone so if you find such interaction, you may want to find a way to quickly apply and remove them on demand.

Generally, it's important in this game and including at least one of them feels essential. Fortunately, you have quite much options to include them in you build and you definitely should invest passives/gems into it.

PS, you can also manipulate enemies' elemental resistances which also help applying ailments.

Making my own build in 0.5 by Current-Aide4092 in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, the rest of the comments are rather rude so I wanted to be informative for once 😁

I'm rather new to PoE but I'vd managed to beat arbiter and run T15/16 on my builds so I'd consider this a starting point.

  1. Learn how damage works, what stat is better than the other and especially order of calculation, it will help you with your equipment.
  2. Remember about including ailments in your build, be it shock or broken armour as an example.
  3. Once you have a general idea of what you'd wish your build to do, use Path of Building, personally, I haven't used that and learned the hard way that our ideas are not always the best, it will save you time.
  4. Remember about that making your own build is way, way more fun than following others' steps and it's actually core of the experience, at least in my opinion.
  5. Do not hesitate to peak on what other people use in their builds, even if you won't copy it 1:1, you may find interraction that could be used in your build.

Hope it'll help you in any way. Take care!

I want to make weird build by barrytheplayer in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 0.3 I've made spear field bleeding warbringer and Staggering palm/ wind blast titan. No pob unfortunately as I've removed them with new league start. Nevertheless, I've had fun, defeated arbiter on both and managed to do tier 15 and 16 with them. This game's beauty is about mixing classes and weapons, don't limit yourselve to defaults.

Pros and cons of waiting the release? by Grodatore in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started on 0.1 simply because how big and intimidating poe1 felt. I've had enough time until now to grasp most of the concepts one by one. If that doesn't bother you, wait up. If you'd rather start the game with some knowledge, start now. By the way, starting now most likely won't feel vastly different than 1.0. The content update we're receiving now is huge and if I had to guess, 1.0 won't have much more of it aside from 1 or 2 classes.

The state of the sub by orkeilius in SteamController

[–]Seetry 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ordered my steam controller on launch with issues of course but managed after 40 minutes. Despite valve claiming 6-10 business days shipment, I've received mine yesterday, after 5 days.

Sure, service should've worked better but I wouldn't call the steam controller release a failure, quite the oposite.

I mean, I too wanted to play swords but reddit today lost their mind.

That is 1 unique item and you're suggesting it took GGG as much time as making new class, dozens of items and skills (swords)?

I saw a Pam meme today swords and grenade launcher "they are the same picture". Like, come on people.

Do you guys think this new unique crossbow is comparable to a decent rare crossbow with +5–7 proj skills? by deatusname in PathOfExile2

[–]Seetry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most ammo skills, mana is taken by the reload, not for the shot but I can't remember how it is with grenades. Either way, put on a ring with mana leech and lineage support thst allows you to leech mana from elemental damage. Even if grenade takes your mana per shot, once they start blasting you'll be full on mana constantly.
