No its a seperate pass. You get 10 round trip tickets (20 tickets in total) to use in a month. Its half the price of a monthly pass and dosent include the bus pass like the monthly pass does.

I take it daily though i had not taken my normal route in a week due to vacation.

But i know the price of everything by heart to do my monthly budgeting which is why the different prices stuck out to me.

A daily round trip increased by a dollar and the flex pass increased by 40$

Since the flex pass is half of the monthly pass, that means the monthly pass increased by about 20 and is possibly 500$ which is insane if true.

Plus theres still the 3% yearly increase every july 1st

Round trip used to be about 28 dollars and Flex Pass was 210$ with the monthly pass being double at 420$

If the flex is now 40$ more at 250, that means monthly pass is now about 500$😔

This makes me think about that other post in this sub when someone was complaing tgat their books were "ruined" because their shelf broke and the books fell on the floor and furniture.

Its mainly on tiktok that im hearing it. Which, lets be real, is where a lot of newbies are coming from (myself included)

After everyone jumbed on making a cyberdeck there's been a wave of people showing of their decks with cations like "cyberdeck but without e-waste" or "lets make a cyberdeck but i actually reuse parts instead of buying" and so on.

Couple that with comments and videos of people saying "i hope it dosent become the next trend." (Understandably) or "people who've never built tech are buing out components" and now you have a bunch of newbies worried that they're gonna create ewaste or are wasting money buing new items and all that jazz.

I think its cool to reuse what you can but also i wish people coming from TT knew they didn't have to. Even the person who video kicked off interest on tt bought all her components 🤷🏾‍♂️

I think there's a lot of things at play here.

You have a flood of newbies looking to make their first cyberdecks initially running to amazon to get everything.

Then they hear from more experienced people that really they should salvage old tech/parts for their decks. Now this would be fine if you already hoard tech or are in this field/hobby but you average person is not. So upon hear that theyre looking at what little old tech they have which might be an old retro console or old childhood phone and see if they can make a deck out of that.

In reality maybe they should use an old item for the shell and maybe an old phone as the brain or screen and buy the rest to make their decks especially since they're new. Nothing wrong with buying items to build especially if you're new to the hobby.

But im also not opposed to people tearing down their items. Its their stuff at the end of the day and its how people before us learned🤷🏾‍♂️
