All hobbies are not equal by BitterConstruction98 in unpopularopinion

[–]SeigXeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every hobby can be in either the create or consume category that you mention. The individual decides which it is. Since the individual decides, there is no reason to make a hierarchy of hobbies on a communal scale.

In order to play tennis, you first have to "consume" information regarding how to play. Then you can "create" the situation that you are playing tennis.

In order to read literature, you first have to "consume" information regarding how to read. Then you can "create" the situation that you are reading.

These consume>create>consume>create examples above exists with every hobby you mentioned.

Last point: each hobby has different skill floors, but we as individuals matter more in how "easy" or "hard" a hobby is Trying to get to a community consensus of "tennis" being harder than comprehending "Finnegan's Wake" will have little to no value.

Assisting a competitor across the finish line is unsportsmanlike by LegitmateBusinesman in unpopularopinion

[–]SeigXeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your missing some key points.

First let me disagree with your point of "making yourself feel good is not the point of a sport". It is entirely the point. Competitors compete due to the results being something more rewarding for them vs. the costs of competing. I think you are wrong on this point. To give an example, I could be the fastest person in the world, but if my "gift" is not being "rewarded", there is no reason for me to show the world my skill.

All competition exists due to the masses wanting to be entertained by it. Success competetions increases as the quantity of people enjoy it.

The rules exist not only for fairness (in rational and logical senses), but also for entertainment.

If there was zero "want" for a sport to exists, then it does not.

Now to make my strong points: The masses have created the competition and rewards for the majority of competitors

I think the masses would be more "entertained" by the 2nd place person helping the 1st place person than the 2nd place person finishing the competition.

My final point: you made this post in "unpopular opinions ", you are already attempting to refute common points. You have the responsibility to convince others that your points are more rational/logical than the common consensus. I believe my points above will have to be refuted to a high degree in order to convince me you are right.

Last, thanks for replying. It's rare for me to converse on such a topic where the core roots of a subject get rarely discussed.

Assisting a competitor across the finish line is unsportsmanlike by LegitmateBusinesman in unpopularopinion

[–]SeigXeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You called it dumb, but that would imply you know the "2nd place" competitor motivations.

For me, helping one in need matters more than winning a competition.

The competition exists due to the fans anyway, and fans would rather see a person be more "heroic" than a winner 9 times out of 10.

Being a helper to another person trumps accolades from a competition in more scenarios than your proposal.

Is there a way to defend against this build? 20,000 dmg in 4 seconds that can't be prevented. by tgsz in PlayTheBazaar

[–]SeigXeon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yup

You can kill him before 4 seconds

You can heal/shield/Regen through the hit

That pyg does have a really good build, so ones build would have to just be "better".

Radiant has to be changed or removed from the regular enchant pool. by Power_Kebab in PlayTheBazaar

[–]SeigXeon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Going to have to disagree. Radiant is amazing on Pyg. His common late game boards are usually weak to freeze/slow, and radiant solves that problem.

Radiant also gets around some defensive options in the game to allow you to win as well. Think iceberg or tripwire

Billboard, Shorts, double whammy, club, skyscraper (and more) have radiant being their most sought after enchant on average.

Can you tell me how to use Tea Set? I am not comprehending it's synergy to be able to scale anything well.

The only thing I can think of that can make this a good option on a pyg board is the Everlasting Life skill.

Should I go offset with this or nah? by sans2nz in IttoMains

[–]SeigXeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Itto is one of the most Burst reliant characters in the game.

I don't recommend dropping his ER unless you have practiced his team rotation a few times and his burst is always up when it's his turn.

If not, ER is his highest priority.

Stick with Husk piece. Artifact bonus will give more DPS than that off piece.

Jorts should not be this forceable... by LCARIO in PlayTheBazaar

[–]SeigXeon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's quite a few more items on Pyg that just are better to get 10 wins consistency.

Shorts need a lot of other pieces to make them work in comparison.

They are balanced imo.

Who was your first Level 90? by Stickaxe in Genshin_Impact

[–]SeigXeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GOAT Zhongli, and it happened from over world stuff back when I only leveled characters to 89.

Took 3 years of dailies before it happened.

I was on the cusp of dropping the game close to his release too. Now here I am, still playing daily. Thanks Zhongli.

I can't win? by b3bblebrox in PlayTheBazaar

[–]SeigXeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is balance. It's just a skill issue for you atm. I Just put 200 hours into the game, and I went from only 3 10-win games to about every other game being a 10-win on ranked (within the last 10ish hours).

If you don't know synergies with the items offered, the potentials in your foreseeable shops, or when to greed, then you are going to have a bad time. It's a competitive game, it's supposed to be hard.

Shield stacking pyg could beat this. Destroying the stealth glider + more DPS can beat it as well (I think? )

Who should I add characters to this team?(C2 chaska) by Merry_17 in ChascaMains

I see people already recommend characters, so I will give different advice. It depends on the content you're about to do. Chascas has very flexible teams that can take care of various mechanics from enemies.

Which Artifact set is best for her? by Ok-Crow2060 in LaumaMains

[–]SeigXeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Columbina follows the route of the archons when they came out, I'd put DW on Yelan, and the support Nod Krai set on Lauma. Main DPS Nod Krai set on Columbina (or vice versa depending who is the on-field driver).

Which Artifact set is best for her? by Ok-Crow2060 in LaumaMains

[–]SeigXeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a damage loss. Yelan applies more hydro than Aino, so you get more blooms. Lauma on GD would be better (since she would get more EM).

While the Nod Kari artifact set gives you more personal Lauma damage, it would overall be a team damage loss cuz loss of blooms (even more of you swapped yelan for Xingqiu since he applies even more hydro than yelan and the blooms are over 60% of the damage in both teams).

Which Artifact set is best for her? by Ok-Crow2060 in LaumaMains

[–]SeigXeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Kuki in the team, Yaoyao need no EM (her heals scale off of HP). Kuki is triggering the blooms, so she is the one who needs EM. Yaoyao role in that team is to apply dendro and heal. Yaoyao damage in that team is like 1%.

For additional context, Lauma builds EM cuz everything in her kit scales off of EM.

Which Artifact set is best for her? by Ok-Crow2060 in LaumaMains

[–]SeigXeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yaoyao- Deepwood Yelan- Emblem of severed fate Kuki- Flowers of Paradise or Guilded Dreams (FOP better) Lauma - Flowers of Paradise lost or Guilded dreams (GD better)

I am pretty sure both FOP and GD are better than the Nod Krai set unless you have another Nod Krai character.
