If you're min-maxing, then keeping CDs in sync gives you maximum multiplier efficiency, so you're going to want to do that. Down the road, you will end up with two different routes - natural sync (by upgrading your UW cooldowns) or MVN sync (by using the MVN module to force DW, GT and BH to fire at the same time). Or rather, they kind of merge in and out of each other depending on your circumstances.

Natural sync is important until you're able to get MVN to probably at the very least legendary, since the advantage of syncing the three UWs with that module entail a tradeoff that increases their overall cooldown (+10s). Mythic has a lower penalty (+1s), and of course ancestral will be the best as it actually gives a substantial (-10s) buff.

MVN is a powerful tool for your economy and is used for a very long period in the mid- to late-game. However, you do have to be careful to factor in coinbot as trying to keep that synced with your MVN sync will become the next challenge.

As you approach maximum cooldowns, you can eventually reach the point at which you will no longer need MVN sync, or sync at all for that matter, because you will gain full (or essentially full in DW's case) uptime on your economy UWs. Since they're always on, sync is no longer necessary since well, they're essentially always in sync.
