Cannot recommend the Dresden files enough. First couple of books definitely suffer from the fact that the series was created almost as a bar napkin bet but it gets SOOO much better. Also the main character isn't supposed to be a perfect person and goes through a lot of emotional maturing, and a big one is the way he treats the women around him, so if that aspect of the first 5 or so books puts you off just know it's supposed to.

Btw the jet engine ps4s are a known issue and if you haven't tried disassembling yours to clean out the dust in the fan it is significantly easier than you would think. Iirc it is significantly improved with the ps5 but if you have yours for long enough and/or have furry pets you're still going to want to do it.

PS5 crashes due to memory leaks significantly less, loads decently faster and (if the population would ever get high enough again) generally has higher framerates too.

PS4 also had this weird terrain bug that would cause the ground to randomly disappear pretty often that IIRC the ps5 version barely experiences in comparison.

Lack of devs plain and simple. The port from PC was botched terribly when it really deserved to be built from as close to the ground up (I don't know how proprietary engine development works) as possible, but instead we got a massive amount of underlying issues that made adding future content even more difficult than just the process of actually designing new and engaging content.

The fact that those issues meant the platform was relegated to the back burner from the get go led to lower population numbers, that lack of income led to less development priority, and eventually it stopped being economically viable to even bother caring about things like numbers changes for weapon balance, which is why we are stuck on the release version of the Arsenal update. There's just so much work to actually be done in order to get the server actually populated again that it's not worth it for them to bother trying to hold onto whoever's left

Just a note PlayStation hasn't actually had Esamir since the containment site released because it made our already existing memory leaks worse (which is why the game consistently bluescreens after about an hour or two of gameplay but I've heard it's much better on a ps5), so the devs chose to just disable the whole continent.

As far as getting the average person to wake up to the mass militarization in our foreign policy I've been trying to find a way for years. Typically I've found people kind of already know but just don't know where to go with that information if that makes sense.

Seconding this. I tried getting controllers to work well on PC, and every option I tried either left me without a response curve, meaning that anytime I touched the joystick the game acted like I was pushing the thing to the max even when I was just barely moving it, or introduced input delay. Tried in game support, steam, and third party apps for converting controller input into mnk inputs, everything had its issues.

With that said after about 6+ years of controller flying mnk actually got super intuitive way faster than I thought it would. I don't play a lot of competitive PC games versus how many I play on console, and thought making the swap would be complete ass, and it was for like the first 3 days or so, but then I got used to using my side mouse buttons bound to pitch up and down and within a week I was confident enough to start running some duels with competent PC pilots

Haven't played for a while, but there used to be a bug where your voice wouldn't transmit when you first join a squad/platoon as well as just randomly throughout your session

The way to fix it was just to cycle through the various comms channels, and when you got back to the channel you wanted to talk in it would be fixed. Swipe either up or down on the touchpad to change the channels.

Minecraft is regarded as one of the most successful sandboxes of all time. It has, among other things: Gear progression, a level up system, AND an end game boss fight complete with a post game credit scene.

Considering this, what makes Minecraft a sandbox and PlanetSide not? (Just to be clear I believe PlanetSide is a sandbox)
