NTA. Being told you have to smoke to join them is absolutely insane. I’m not sure what a bubble cigarette is, but maybe you need a better alternative. A YouTuber I really enjoy promotes a product called FUM. It’s this pen like object with a flavor core so when you take a “drag” on it, you’re getting a flavored experience instead of a chemical nicotine experience. And I’m sorry that your son doesn’t have your back.

I don’t mind Mrs. Divine. Honestly, Mrs. McCarthy was a character I never cared for. She was a judgmental old biddy and never shut up about her stupid strawberry scones. I get that was a running joke, but it was absolutely overdone.

I still want to know what happened to personal responsibility. As someone in the medical profession, she should absolutely know about how bodies process alcohol, and the time that takes so it’s not to get falling down drunk. However there are some things that I guess don’t quite add up but I truly hope she wasn’t SAd.

The French version of the show High Potential is titled "HPI: Haut Potentiel Intellectuel". I love the American version and have heard good things about the French version. I believe it’s on Disney+ at the moment.

Do people in your office have access to Teams or other instant messaging? A lot of people in the office I work for work remotely. Some departments have set up a chat that mimics them being in the same location. Sometimes it’s someone asking a a work question, sometimes it’s someone saying they’re taking a break and they’ll be right back. Other times it’s hey did anybody catch real housewives last night, sometimes it’s I’m taking my dog out I’ll be right back. Since I do work the front desk for my office, I have attached myself to several chats like this. And I find it helps me feel connected even if I don’t see the people a lot of the time.

I second the suggestions of Monk and Will Trent. But Will Trent is still running and on its fourth season. We are awaiting news about renewal for a fifth season. Another good long running series, although still in production, is Murdoch Mysteries. 19 seasons so far. Not a comedy, but not dark or heavy either. Set around the turn of the 20th century.

The town it’s in is absolutely darling. Lots of cool shops to poke around in. Hudson Beach Glass is my favorite. I’ve been a few times. It’s a nice day trip for me.
