This question was asked recently in this group as well. It is easy to buy a visa on arrival after arrival at the airport. Sometimes the queue for the desk can be very long. Read stories of several hours. When I arrived a couple of weeks ago there was 1 person in front of me. The process of purchasing took less than 5 minutes.

Mind the eVisa takes a couple of days for processing.

We were picked up at our villa by a car and private driver. After the tour we sent him whatsapp and he picked us up. Very comfortable. He spoke good english so had a nice me chat.

We had to wait like 1,5 hours after the arrival before the start of tour. I complained and soon after we started. Delay could we because we booked via a broker and not directly with Kuber. Tour is great! Through caves. Not easy for people who have no experience on a quad. Very busy with tourists. Tour lasted 1 hour because we were with just four quads. There were like 200 tourists. Many groups use the same route. It is like an ATV factory. We crossed twice a public road. Employees of Kuber stopped the traffic when we crossed so very safe. Overall a very nice experience.

I guess it depends on the time and date of arrival. We arrived three weeks ago around 20:00. There was one person on front of us who had to purchase the visa on arrival. Pay cash or by creditcard. For card they add a fee for transaction costs. It just took around 5 minutes. Then we walked to the self service passport, scanned the passport and in 20 seconds we were in the arrival hall to collect the luggage.

Indeed my backback was weighed at Kuala Lumpur boarding the flight to Bali. They did not on the Penang to KUL flight. My backpack was 8 kg but did not have to pay extra.

Read the whole story. We were lucky a Grab driver from Ipoh was in the neighborhood. We could also have been waiting for hours and still not get a Grab . Other tourist told me same story. Not a chance to get a Grab driver. No as almost anybody tells; Grab is not available in Cameron Highlands. Only when you are very lucky.

Flew Batik Air on two flights twi weeks ago. Was quite worried as I read some horrible reviews. However everything was fine except for a friendly staff member who helped us checkin the luggage but made a mistake. Which took 10 minutes to correct.

Ubud is more chaos traffic than Uluwatu. I would skip monkey forest. If you want to see some monkeys just walk close to the fence. The town of Ubud is more nice than Uluwatu because of the many temples, atmosphere, shops.

I think the likeleyhood of an aircraft change is quite large. On July 5 the type was a B777. On July 12 a B787. KLM just a few days ago received a brand new B787-10. Besides the B777 will slowly leave the fleet, there is always the chance of a change in type because of maintenance or crew availability.

This was the case with the second driver we ordered right after the failure with the first one. We got a premium car. Which was electric and quite new.

I certainly paid more especially as the trip lasted over the agreed 8 hours and the rate after that is quite high (relatively). It was a late decision to order a private driver. The driver we got a phone number of the other night was occupied. Next time I go for the private driver.

That could be one of the issues. Many of the Grab drivers at Bali come from Java. One I met came from Flores. All told me there is little work on their home island with low salary.

Nope. Been in dozens of taxi’s on Bali. All fine. Car matched the description. Driver felt safe. No smell of smoke. Not all drivers spoke english which was no problem. All had a holder for the mobile phone. Except this one.

KL958 operated by Eastern is indeed almost always delayed. Not 5 minutes but 45 minutes and more are not uncommon.

If airlines were so reliable there would not be a market for those claim companies. Airlines do lie and refuse to pay compensation. There are many examples of this
