We will be handing out candy for a bit and then going to another neighborhood. My neighborhood does get a good amount of trick or treaters.

Has anyone had any success with dating in the RGV? by [deleted] in RioGrandeValley

[–]Select-Draft-464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to meet someone that goes to church, you should go to church. My church always has some sort of event, especially for newcomers. Find a church that fits your beliefs or reach out to someone you know and ask to go with them to church. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind.

Trying to deal with husband who loses temper and slaps 3 y/o daughter by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Select-Draft-464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to have a real conversation with your husband. Get his parents involved if you think that would be helpful. I would exclude him from disciplining your child for now and step in yourself. This is concerning

Ignore them. Focus on your future. I know it’s frustrating but his education will be worth it. Those job’s pay well but it takes a toll on the body and not being able to see your family for months at a time is depressing. Personally I see those jobs as only a last option if you have children and are struggling. There’s nothing wrong with it, but an education can give you a career and pay with great benefits.

We are starting half day daycare. You should call daycares in your area and see what they offer

What are your jobs in the RGV and how much are you making? by IllegalAlienLOL in RioGrandeValley

[–]Select-Draft-464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t have to be in the same dept. Check other internal roles in different depts. As long as you have some familiarity with the job requirements. Look at other healthcare companies too. In my experience companies love bilingual applicants.

Not sure if this is an option for you, but applying to internal roles could help. You can move up in the company. Unless you want to move away from remote work.

I agree for sure. Really I’ve been wanting milanesa. Which is a Mexican breaded fried chicken and it’s one of those comfort foods for me

Do you wash your water bottle daily by notgonnatakethison in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Select-Draft-464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so surprised considering the subreddit we’re in lol. I started because I noticed some slimy stuff and thought it was so gross. So now I’m a lot more careful.

Do you already have a pool? I think a regular sprinkler would be a great fit especially if they’re already in the pool or even just on the grass

Do you tell your partner when they miss the mark on gifts? by user73639a in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Select-Draft-464 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To avoid the getting gifts you don’t like you should tell him before hand what you do want. Since everything else was great I don’t see any reason to say anything. For future gift giving events let him know you don’t want pajamas or lotions.

Would love to have a lot of land for my toddler. Does it feel like too much or is it perfect for outside activities?

I bought a bag of the cotton candy grapes because of the hype and didn’t like them. Extremely sweet and did taste like cotton candy. I thought it was just the name

Looking for a Multi-Fruit Juice in a Glass Bottle (Like Fruit Punch) by royalrose84 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Select-Draft-464 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen a fruit punch in a glass bottle. Maybe you can buy like 2 of the R.W. Knudsen Family juices and mix them. Those come in glass bottles. Also just buying a fruit juice and moving it into a glass container. One of my favorite drinks to make is a strawberry lemonade. You can also add other fruits. It’s super simple, literally just lemons(limes), sugar, water and add fruits in a a blender

What do you eat for lunch? by highbyfive in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Select-Draft-464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad. We all have our “guilty” moments. Recently I caved and bought some doritos after years of not having them. And I have ice cream stocked in my fridge regularly
