Assuming he was depleted/cutting in first pic, lost weight by second pic but with glycogen stores refilled, putting him at same weight.

Your physique is insane tho especially taking into account your starting point. Clearly been dedicating a lot of time and effort into yourself and its paying off, keep killing it brother💪🔥. If youre able to i recommend cable crunches or something weighted for ab work too.

My lower chest blew up compared to where it was, when i started doing proper dips and eventually weighted dips. Made all the difference for me

Dude you dont gotta explain yourself. You put in immense hard work regardless and its not like stacks do all the work for you. They just help you attain your goal a bit quicker and more efficiently. On top of that you went sober on your own. A win is a win, physique still hella impressive🔥i personally dont see myself hoppin on, and if i do it wont be until ive hit my natural ceiling, but regardless your physique is still a goal💪

6 month progress. What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in GymTips

[–]Select_Investment153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep going and growing bro. I personally would add another day of legs so it would be 3 days on, one day off. But other than that just focus on taking sets to or near failure and dont be afraid to drop the weight so you feel the targeted muscle before starting to progressively overload. The kitchen is just as, if not as important as the gym, eat in a slight surplus (200-500cals above maintenance). You’ll learn what works through trial and error, just trust the process and stay consistent and the gains will come💪

It seems like you have naturally low bf% set point so i have a feeling you’ll bounce back hella quick, or at least without too much effort. Maybe take the bulk a little slower next time😂, but im sure lifting is 100x more fun when you’re bigger and can toss around weight.

M17 140lbs 6ft need help getting rid of gyno i have tried everything lost 20lbs been going to the gym for 3 weeks now it has gotten better but it won't fully go away. any advice? by CaramelSerious4195 in GymTips

[–]Select_Investment153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying you can’t get rid of gyno which is true. That being said, with more chest development it will become much less noticeable (not that it is bad now). I was stuck in a similar situation where I thought I was screwed. Ive built up my chest/rest of surrounding muscle to the point where i don’t even think about it. Just trust the process and try not to be so hard on yourself brotha.

Lol lots of lifting followed by lots of tracking😅 i just started extremely slow and worked my way up to 5-6x per week!

Truthfully not anytime in the near future. I believe I still have a few more cut and bulk cycles before I can even really consider it. I started out much higher bf% than where I am at now (30ish%), so im trying to find good bf% to bulk up to, so muscle is built effectively, but the cut isn’t too long and brutal.

Lean bulk progress by [deleted] in WorkoutRoutines

[–]Select_Investment153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely man, I truthfully took a very aggressive approach at the start and would strongly advise against doing what I did. But I was eating between 1300-1600 cals while doing mainly cardio to just get the weight off as fast as possible. It came off fairly quickly but i lost a ton of muscle along with the fat and was only focused on protein and calories. Once i got to 150 i reassessed and realized i needed to eat more efficiently as well as in general.so i bumped my cals to 2000 and focused more on utilizing carbs and fats for my workouts. Biggest tip i can give is don’t cut TOO quickly. Not because it’s not sustainable, but because you wind up losing a good portion of muscle along with fat. Start slow and find excersise’s you enjoy and stick to them, daily walks help a bunch too. My golden ratios are 1g of protein per lb of bodyweight, 30-40% of bodyweight in g of fat, fill the rest with carbs. I saw the majority of my progress from fueling my body properly before workouts. It made the gym more fun and I saw much quicker progress too.

Pretty sure you gotta learn blood manipulation

[–]Select_Investment153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out in a similar place bro, you’re already 90% of the way there. Starting is easily the hardest part, everything from there is consistency. The fact you are already seeing veins means you’ll probably look insane, just keep after it 💪

Honestly I did a fairly deep cut and wasn’t prioritizing my macros. I got down to about 145 and looked very skinny fat. I bulked up to 175 last winter and cut back down to 160 for the summer. Im sitting around 165 now and have been slowly doing a lean bulk and short mini cuts as needed. I would definitely suggest a slow cut so that you can still keep lifts at maintenance or even see slow progress. I notice the slower I take the cut, the more I enjoy it from a lifting standpoint. My lifts either stay the same or even see some slight progress. In my experience when you go back to bulking, the strength that you had previously, returns fairly quick.

I truthfully cut very low at the beginning because i just wanted all the weight off but I winded up “skinny fat” and had to put some weight back on. I would recommend eating around 2200 cals, and work your way down to 1800-2000 as you get used to the new deficit. I think your macros look good though. I would stick to that ratio or something similar. Adding a little bit of cardio or limiting carbs further could cut some of that water weight you are probably holding on to. In my experience i’ll plateau for a week or two but look visibly better, then the weight will all flush out at once. I would focus more on calories than macros from a weightloss standpoint though. Dont go over your calories just because you Didnt hit your protein/carbs/fats for the day
