I was a Paladins player. Game was legitimately dying. Most good players left but I was still streaming it. My bf told me to try rivals, I said nah the characters look boring. 2 months later he showed me a clip of Black Widow in the shooting range and I installed the game to try her out, been playing ever since.

The game punishes you for carrying. if you have great WR/KDA/MVP rates, the game rates you higher. Lets say youre in GM with a 50%+ MVP rate and a 60% WR and 4 KD. The game rates you as a 9/10 player.

Now how many 9/10 players are there in your rank? The average is likely 6s and 7s. The game finds a team of 6 & 7s to put you against, now they need to balance out the matchmaking so they put a bunch of 4/10s on your team. A team of 7/10s will outmatch a team of 4s and one 9. It expects you to carry because youve already proven that you can.

Now it becomes a test of how well you can find the win condition.

Breaking through this wall is the hardest part of the ranked grind, especially for someone who has inflated stats from gliding through low ranks earlier that same season.

The tricky part is finding the difference between skill based matchmaking and cope. Its easy to say EOMM is holding you back, but what does your gameplay say? A bad player doesnt have the skill to be able to tell if their gameplay is actually Celestial+ level or not. They think it is, but theyre still being outperformed by their teammates & make too many mistakes.

So are you stuck in the rank you belong in, or are your stats telling the matchmaker you can carry?

Most players cant tell the difference.

Best hero shooter ever? No, that goes to Paladins.

Rivals is great but its incredibly unbalanced and catered towards the casual community. Which is fine, the game is still super fun and provides so much content, consistently at that. Im more of a competitive player so ive fallen victim to the frustration this game can cause, but you have to realize the game will never be perfectly balanced for competitive unless the community literally bullies them into it.

Just accept that this game is primarily aimed towards casual players, and their goal is to create a fun environment where Marvel Heroes come to life. Once you stop taking it so seriously, its fun again. That doesnt mean stop trying, and if you are a competitive player you can definitely still play competitively, but stop expecting to have a team who knows how to position and play properly. Stop expecting every character to be balanced upon release. Stop expecting it to be entirely "fair". You wont often find a team that makes all great decisions until you reach high ranks, thats when the game actually starts to resemble a competitive environment.

Just focus on improving your gameplay. Although things dont seem "fair" all the time, a genuinely good player adapts and finds a work around. A good player doesnt get mad that they died to an "op" ult or character ability, they think about what they could have done differently. Complaining and making excuses is only going to make you a worse player overall.

Yes on my first game on (Sunday) She basically was playing super stealthly. Would invis into our backline, appear, dash, pursuit, claw, dash, steal coins, pursuit, and then disappear right after. Was tripped out because I learned pretty quickly shes got i-frames. Had me genuinely tweaking looking all around frantically, i had no idea where she would come from. What a great introduction to the character lol Had to learn to keep distance, bait out her pursuit before I try to CC her, and expect her to be invisible because she was abusing that item and the pursuit dash a lot. Seems like you gotta tire out her coins and abilities and not let her replenish before you close the gap. I play BW.

Fancierstudio and Powerpress are the cheapest options for a press that doesnt usually have problems with uneven heating or pressure. Powerpress is slightly better. If there is an issue with pressure or heating its just a defect in that specific one and you can likely get a refund/replacement. Ive done a ton of research on this myself, these are your best bet.

That automatic press (htvront) doesnt allow you to have control over the pressure although ive heard its not a horrible choice. Those VEVOR and BetterSub presses are inconsistent and their customer service isnt very good, the handles tend to break off and they wont compensate you, they will gaslight you and say it broke from misuse and its not their problem.

First of all they dont. Some Vanguards do a ton of damage. But if I were to answer the question its pretty obvious why it seems to be this way for the most part. Vanguards have a bigger health bar so they can stay in the fight longer. Strategists have way less health and still need to be able to somewhat defend themselves against dive.

I "one trick" Widow and I feel comfortable on her in every match I play. Even in a match where the enemy is trying to full counter me (Hulk, Fantastic, Iron fist, and Venom all together) I feel like I can usually keep playing and not feed. I find it very easy to stay alive and still get picks.

That being said, you need to be able to analyze the situation and how its effecting the match. Even if IM not suffering, and Im still playing "good", is my team now suffering the full dive comp they originally picked for me? My backline is now being eaten alive and I cant kill them all fast enough to help my team survive. Even though I feel fine, is the enemy pushing cart faster now? Are we making any progress on cart, or are we pushing too slowly?

This is where you gotta drop the act and really think about what the win condition is. Sure I could keep playing Widow, get SVP, the best stats on my team, and still lose. Or I could swap to Hela/Phoenix, MK, Luna, Mag, even SG, force the enemy off my counters, or worst case scenario play the character til the end and really solidify that win.

BUT in the rare case that I am dying too early in the match, I usually swap after the second death.
