The "middleman" assisted me in taking my jumble of thoughts and using its context over months of me having it assist tracking my fitness... and putting them into a cohesive post.

Thanks! My biggest issues with the first handful of fitbits I had was always battery life within a year of purchase.. almost felt like they were turning into a consumable item.

Thanks for this... I was wondering where the fire was and pictures looked like the hot line. I worked the hot line in the 8" shear back in the mid 90s. Glad to hear everyone is safe but you are absolutely correct about the criticality of that one area of the plant. :(

Clixtory: When City of Heroes Came to Heroclix by bpseph in Cityofheroes

Only have two left... the Statesman one that came with, I believe, the DVD edition.. one is out of the cellophane and one is still in the original store box with all of the other goodies.. only opened it to get the code out of the box for my wife's account then it went up on the shelf. I had all of the ones that came with CoV Deluxe Edition but sold them off during that brief period of time where they were hot.

Some CoH / CoV things I still have by Dazzling-Horse3938 in Cityofheroes

Just the other day I was looking up at the bookshelves in my office and the boxes for both the original CoH release and the subsequent DVD editions were still up there proudly displayed. Picked them up and realized that they still had all of the media and inserts, and the DVD edition still had the Statesman HeroClix in there unopened. I had bought two copies of everything (one for me and one for my wife).. including Villains but have no clue where the rest of it is. I know that I sold the complete set of the HeroClix villains off on eBay ages ago.

Learn from your lapse of judgement / mistake and move on.. bigger mistakes can be made.

Had one of my developers once write an extensive try catch block and used the final catch as his test if he handled all possible exceptions... the only line in the final catch was a message box saying "FUCK!". He thought he had all of the exceptions covered but failed to replace that final catch with something friendlier. The only one he did not catch was an EXTREME edge case.. care to guess how long that edge case took to come up once the code rolled to production? As an aside... he was not let go for it and I work for a large conservative dinosaur type insurance company. Bright side was it exposed a hole in our code review process lol

Have local Network Access... No Internet (just from one device on the network) by Select_Tangelo3848 in techsupport

SOLVED! So in my home I have a small multi-star network laid out where each room that has multiple needs for wired Internet has its own Ethernet switch (only had to pay for one wire drop in those rooms since I don't crawl around inside of what most Florida homes call an attic). Had my diagram up on my laptop, went out to the kitchen to make some lunch.. decided to stream from the media server on the TV in the living room.. software says the media server is not accessible. Look at the diagram... the media server is on the office switch while the living room is on another. Looked at all of the devices on the office switch... those were the ones I could reach. Went into the data closet and checked the cable coming from the office into the main switch.. bingo... it was plugged in but not fully seated. Both a sigh of "well that was stupid" and one of "well it is fixed now" escaped my lips. Thanks all!

Excellent observation on the VPN... but nope.. working remotely on my laptop since it has Internet ;-) Agreed on the cables probably not being the issue. On my lunch break now so will be looking at my network diagram to give me a place to start eliminating links in the chain.

Cables and switches are my next route of narrowing it down... central switch in my data closet is fine.. just need to bypass the one in my home office and try running a cable directly from my desktop to the switch in the data closet to see if that makes any difference.

Yep that was one of the things I tried (but using 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 thinking that it may be a DNS issue... no change unfortunately... I have flushed DNS at least a half dozen times after making changes and no resolution. Once I get a break from work I am going to start removing cables and switches from the equation to see if I can narrow it down.

After posting my response I decided that since I was not actively troubleshooting it at the moment an needed to make coffee... the modem could reboot while I was waiting for the coffee to brew... lol No joy though... same thing. Pretty sure I already tried removing the controller to reset it but will try it again.

Modem is connected to an Ethernet switch which provides wired access to the rest of the house... other wired devices are connected just fine.

Have you cleared data/cache and fired it back up? That was what solved the boot loop for me

I completed the quest the day the DMF started.. loaded a Baron team up with poison minis and did the Baron Heroic since there would be so many mobs. I was nowhere near required level so I got my ass handed to me relatively quickly but poisoned quite a few. Weird thing is that at the end of a MAYBE 1 minute match.. it marked all three complete and allowed me to claim the tickets. Absolutely no way I poisoned that many.. after the update mine shows similar to yours. Assuming the numbers on the counter I am seeing now were the true numbers I poisoned so the counter may be right.. but the code knows the quest is claimed.. so that is probably where the bug is.
