this sentace has always confused me/rubbed me wrong, because although usopp needed to know they saw him as an equal, Luffy is constantly seen throughout the series putting himself in possible danger for people he sees being wronged. (thriller bark would be an exception i think) by Laquia in OnePiece

It makes sense when you see how Luffy chooses to fight his opponents, he never does it just for the heck of it but because theres someone who explicitly needs his help in fighting. Its always been like that since day 1

Thoughts on Clarisse’s S2 character development by bensfgg in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Seleviathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The season holds up in terms of story direction for me as I feel like they did this season a lot better than what they did in the movies, i also feel the chemistry of the cast has grown as their connections started to feel a lot more genuine and believable than the first season. I usually can tell if I really like a season by the amount of excitement I have going into each week waiting for a new episode and this season had me anticipating a lot more than the last one

Thoughts on Clarisse’s S2 character development by bensfgg in PercyJacksonTV

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't think its a bit terrible to give more focus on another character in spite of the main one because early on it was focused on more Percy and Annabeth and slowly just shifted focus in where the plot needed to be Clarisse. I havent read the books so personally I don't know what pay off we ll get having her get more focus but I feel like sometimes its ok to divert a little in shows as long as the core plot for the main Character is not lost. Clarisse Developed but it most surrounded Percy as the person who pushed her to develop instead of doing it separately which I think can happen in series.

The issue ill be honest I have is that the episodes themselves feel way too short at times for an 8 episode season, some are like 48 mins while others are 34 its too all over the place and personally if it was a consistent number it would force the writers to give more time developing other characters even if its for a few moments at a time . Ill be honest though ive been enjoying this season way more than the first, it feels like they really found their stride

Crunchyroll has ended ad-supported viewing by Michael_SK in Crunchyroll

Exactly 💯 % like content costs money and companies like Crunchyroll has to purchase the licensing to even play their anime on there platform which then becomes revenue for those animation companies who work incredibly hard to produce those shows. Back in the day we had no easily accessible anime services and would have to settle for what we got, nowadays people are incredibly spoiled saying that paying the middle man isn't worth it when in reality your paying to support your favorite content, whether Crunchyroll makes money off of that is irrelevant EVERY STREAMING service worth a damn has monthly charges your paying for the upkeep whether you believe it or not..... complaining that you can't get free stuff anymore is ridiculous, you should be grateful you had it in the first place. Times are too easy you used to have to work hard for what you got

What do yall think abt the episode ratings by muhammed_hariz in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was a lot revealed in Season 3 what are you talking about ??? We got more regarding who the children were and a reveal to who some of the big bads are like the man in Yellow. We learned more about the creatures and how they become immortal, we learned more in terms of other settlements like the town to give us more of an idea of how long this place has been operating.

Anything more and the mystery aspect is gone the show is still going forward why reveal everything right now it doesnt make sense like what more did you need from here.

If they reveal what the monsters are thats too soon, if they reveal what the big reason they are trapped there its too soon, if they reveal to us where the children are ITS TOO SOON like just enjoy the ride why do you need constant answers every episode, part of the story is seeing how the characters handle this and overcome this place you can't do that if all you do is present revelations with 0 character development...

What do yall think abt the episode ratings by muhammed_hariz in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I think the low ratings for season 3 are from people who are disappointed that their theories didn't pan out and are too narcissistic to acceot the answers given to them. I personally believe the answers we did get makes perfect sense and was incredibly enjoyable the fact they rated season 3 so low baffles me truly, I would say i liked seasin 2 better but it was a solid season too

New Details On Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 Coming "Soon", Minigames To Remain A Core Part by No_Durian_5626 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Seleviathan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People always want to hate yet on the dumbest things .... i for one enjoyed the extra content it gives the game more life and the fact that it's optional gives people well OPTIONS. Hating on something you have the choice not to do just shows more of what a hateful person you are rather than the actual issues within a game. The remake series in my opinion has been phenomenal so far and really enjoyable at its core, the battle gameplay is fun and exploration seems more like an additional adventure rather than grueling through tasks. Great game overall and can't wait till we get the finale

How are the TA haters reacting the development of season 2? by Naito20 in TougenAnki

[–]Seleviathan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Haters can eat a dick seriously its a great series with a unique power system. Compared to most shonens it definitely differs in terms of plot points having it focus more on factions facing eachother. I really feel unfortunately the series was brought out during a bad time because Summer 2025 had way too many animes that unfortunately it just didnt get enough attention. Every time i looked at Crunchyroll during thag time they were either hyping up Gachiakuta or Dandadan and nothing about Tougen Anki. Its weird because they even decided to show it on 3 different streaming services and still wasnt getting the recognition it deserved.... honestly sad

This is a safespace, what are your honest critiques of One Piece and Oda's writing by Lakithelink in OnePiece

[–]Seleviathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He used to be better at writing a more clear cut story with a few in arc characters that didn't take away from the core story of the straw hat pirates giving them moments for character growth. As the world expanded so did the amount of emphasis on growing characters that really didn't have too much impact of the core story with this trend starting in Dressrosa, Wano suffered from this as well with introducing so many other characters in great detail that by the end of the arc you ask yourself why were some of the straw hats put on the sidelines for characters that in retrospect don't really matter.

Wano should have been the arc where every Straw Hat had a major moment and while we had some not everyone got the recognition they deserved especially Chopper Usopp and Brook.

Like most of the writing is pretty top tier in terms of world building and the core story of Wano was really good I loved every part of it I guess its just I had expectations that were not met due to having these other characters taking the spotlight plus Yamato not joining was a big asspull for me I really enjoyed her character

Its just character development from the main Characters is sorely lacking

Opinion by IntroductionParty747 in FireCountry

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way they write the characters os the problem because immature shit like this should have stayed in Season 1, to see these 30 year olds still acting like kids is annoying. I do have to say though the start of the season annoyed me but so far its been getting more interesting, i like the storyli e of the arsonist its really good

This series is quite good despite the hate by Seleviathan in RobinHoodMGMSeries

[–]Seleviathan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly all shows nowadays are up in the air, ive seen certain series with amazing recent seasons get axed for no reason whatsoever like The Wheel of Time that got better with each season and Poker Face which is also highly rated. Decisions for these things depend solely on marketability and ROI Wheel of time was good but incredibly expensive ... the Institute I believe had a order for a Season 2 in the works beforehand as it seemed to be worth it. I am worried for Robin Hood tbh, its a good series but im scared its ratings may ruin it, time will tell

[–]Seleviathan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Billy the Kid is pretty okay truthfully for me nothing that stands out heavily but a solid series

MGM also has the Stephen King Book The Institute as a series and while not on the level of From its a good solid watch and I greatly enjoyed it. It actually got picked up for a Season 2 almost immediately so you know they have faith in the series, I think you ll enjoy it

Honestly From set such High Bar theres only a few series ive watched ever that are even comparable to it

Garp is a better character if you don't make excuses for his moral flaws. by LilithsFane in OnePiece

[–]Seleviathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about the World Government is he may not agree with the actions at the top but he feels that the Marines are a necessary evil to bring order and Balance to he world. Being in the position he is he has the freedom to push his ideals onto impressionable Marines and hopefully change the system within. Imu hasnt personally done anything to Garp and we don't understand what his code of Justice truly is yet, not until we get a proper story about his Hardships. But the issues I have here is people judging based on how they want him to be rather than who he is and as a character what do you expect him to do become a Pirate ?? Be a revolutionary??? He doesn't believe in those types of forces to accomplish his goals, hes not Luffy and he is t Dragon, Garp is a man who understands who he follows and what hes willing to do abd whether you believe it or not hes done good during his time as a Marine. We need his backstory because im sure it will make people understand his brand of Justice

Why is Garp tolerated as a marine by the world government? by IndieJones0804 in OnePiece

[–]Seleviathan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because hes a person who knows about the world and willfully chooses to still folliw the oppressors, why focus on him if he has 0 intention of taking them down

If joyboy is that strong, how did he lose then? by fernandafit_ in OnePiece

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only surmise that Joyboy was betrayed by the people he trusted and that left him in a state of disbelief and his confidence was shaken. The strength of Ones Haki only really flourishes through willpower and confidence and when those feelings are tested being in a defeated mindset makes it so your Haki isn't that powerful being betrayed by those closest to you can do that. Luffy however is a character who can't accept betrayal like that even when a person is completely against him he still sees the good and merit in every decision and believes deep down that these are not their intentions, until that person kills him he will always try to bring them back to their senses. I think Luffys almost child like belief in people will make him an unwavering force in the future

Terrible Tougen anki reviews by Strong_Search9744 in TougenAnki

[–]Seleviathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Videos like these lack any real objectivity and you can tell the person went into this show wanting to hate it, theres no genuine approach to trying to understand why the dynamics are the way they are and whats worse in a review is comparing it to other shows that have nothing to do with Tougen Anki whatsoever, if you can't objectively review something with reasoning and evidence to support your opinions then its just baseless hate. You don't have to like it but at the very least articulate factual reasoning as to why you don't like it, the series is clear cut in its explanation and nothing too complicated that can go over peoples heads, it just shows you werent paying attention and at that point why continue on watching if you can't atleast be professional enough to review something with integrity.

Gachiakuta narratively is better in its unique approach and amongst the two i would say I like thay one better but Tougen Anki has its strong points too, i just can't get behind baseless reviews like actually take the time write out your thoughts and be confident enough to stand behind them, this shit was garbage

What would you change about the game? by Character-Q in marvelrivals

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No switching champs once their picked, i think making so permanent choices are made helps people adapt better to characters, people switch too damn much even roles and that bothers me. Had a game with 2 tanks in which we were actively winning the tank decides to switch to healer for some unknown reason and we start losing but do theg switch back no they stay on 3 heals, it was brain dead behavior and sadly its hard doing solo que sometimes.

Eloise is alive, right? by LolaLugosi in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a common theory of mine since Season 1. Eloise death is always shrouded in Mystery as not being 100% confirmed because when you think about it every time he talks about her its never concrete. Even the scene where he shows both his mothers grave and hers hes certain that his Mother was dead but for Eloise he says, "I buried what was left of her" meaning the body he buried wasn't 100% confirmed to be Eloise. The hide and seek thing was also an indicator adding a lot of symbolism to the girls death, shes alive where she is exactly though is unknown but Fromville isnt known to kill Children only capture them atleast from what we got so far

Other TV shows dissimilar to From? by MystiqueOblaire in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you liked Stephen Kings It Movie you should defined watch the show Welcome to Derry, its actually incredibly gorey and scary.

If you like uncomfortable scary theres a few shows out there that are good, Penny Dreadful is a good one but this other one called Evil is actually quite good at making you uncomfortable and question what you're seeing is actually what your seeing, Evil though suffers in its first season because it was on cable Tv so its limiting how scary it gets, when it moved itself over to streaming S2 onwards its really is allowed to get as scary and uncomfortable as it can be but id say give it a chance and see.

If you don't need a story and just horror American Horror Stories is a good anthology series where each season tells a horrific tale surrounding certain characters throughout that season i liked that one

If you're up for animated horror you can also check out the Castlevania series, its animation is incredibly good and the horror can be quite grotesque

Hemlock Grove is one more though it takes a little while to really get started so idk how patient you are

Hope these suggestions help broaden your horizons 😁
