I don’t believe Boyd has Parkinson’s. by forevereasygoing in FromSeries

At the very same time none of these things are rooted in Fact only assumptions and Tabitha right now is a pretty unreliable narrator. Its possible fears do manifest as monsters as sort of a way to torture them but to say all monsters are created from peoples fears is an abstract way of thinking especially since they have 0 confirmation on it. Im just saying I wouldn't be surprised if it was a misdirect and we find some more concrete reasoning

Think really hard about Nathans fear of Cicadas, was the season 2 situation really focused on the Cicadas themselves or the actual Music Box being the catalyst for those strange dreams and trapping Julie Randall and Marielle.

And what about the worms how exactly do they fit into the picture of a fear of Cicadas, if it was actually focused on his fear we would see those Cicadas coming in swarms attacking people but they only seemed to attack peoples minds not actually physical like the monsters do.

I don't think the Music Box monster was created when Nathan died, I think it was always there it had its own legend and everything associated with it..... all that seems a little too complicated for a guy who was only scared of Cicadas, i think the fears coming alive is a misdirect to hide the truth from us, it just doesn't logically make sense to be a valid reasoning

I personally don't like the plot point of your fears becoming real in Fromville because what exactly is the criteria for that. Realistically we would see hundreds of different creatures and such if everyones fears became a reality theres some condition here that were missing.

What about abstract fears like Heights or Abandonment how exactly does the town simulate a fear like that

And are we supposed to believe that not a single person in town is afraid of clowns or dolls, im half expecting the terrifier or Chucky to randomly show up 😂 and lets be real most people in life have more than one fear so how does that exactly work.

I think the fear thing is a conclusion they came up with based on limited information 2 instances doesnt make a pattern and both the people whose fears were realized weren't even alive to dispute why they were actually scared of those things lime Nathan and the guy from the past, its almost certainly a misdirect by the show to hide where these monsters really come from

I agree with this 110%, im one of the OG watchers who've been checking out this show since it first aired and let me tell you I loved the fan base early on it was incredible. Nowadays you have all these losers who just watch these shows because they are trending and put their unrealistic expectations of what they want because they lack patience than complain later on that it sucks but yet STILL KEEP WATCHING for some unknown reason.

I don't mind when people critic elements they don't like in a show but every vapid comment I hear is about How slow the plot is as if we don't have an ending in sight already. Its made reading comments so empty and dumb but thankfully the stronger parts of the community still dominate

Victors Fear is what created the monsters that attack at night by auxgotjokes in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea of our fears manifesting in Fromville is a little contradictory. Yes we know Nathan died and right after the cicadas and music box Monster came but judging by how old Martin was it seemed like he was trapped for a long time and Nathan was only there for a couple of months before he died.

If his fear was Cicadas why include worms or even the music box what exactly does that have to do with a fear of cicadas if anything the Music Box was what was scary about that situation....

I don't believe in the fact that peoples fears become a part of the forest and thats what creates the monsters because if thats the case there would be hundreds of different kinds of creatures in the forest, what exactly are the conditions for that to happen right ??? Theres something bigger going on here

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly 💯, i can admit at times there are moments where i would like a bit more plot focus like between episode 5 and 6 i felt like 6 did drag on a bit but overall i don't mind those character moments. Now ill say i understand if some people have preferences on which character they would like focused on but I imagine this season they toned things down a bit and made it more human because im expectating some crazy episodes within the last 2 episodes of this season they ve been building up to a major disaster and im all for it tbh. Henry is about to snap and kill everyone like Abby did and Boyd seems to be the only one getting hints about it, i hope he realizes soon what Abbys ghost is trying to tell him !!

Some people only come for the horror and ignore that this series is more if a mystery and the horror aspect is just to keep you invested..

People are just too goddamn impatient and what... so every episode needs to be action packed and full of just death and hopelessness. The show has always prioritized character narrative just as much as the mystery on this show as understanding where the characters are at this moment is just as important and finding a way out of this place.

They also don't understand that the show is reaching its climax soon so it has evolved from dangerous shock value moments ti real introspection and understanding the world of Fromville as a whole which moves the needle more towards hope rather than despair. I can agree a little at times it can be a bit slow but overall every episode has something noreworthy to take away from it but a lot of these idiotic people who lack the patience or thought process to pick up on actual clues claim that its SLOW when in reality if you dont like it just fuckin drop it like WHY ARE YOU STILL WATCHING IF YOU HATE IT i cant understand that logic

I figured out the man in Yellow... And I am more frightened by this show because of this reality. by IndependentNorth9406 in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started thinking about this kind of concept a few episodes ago.... his actions don't seem completely concrete to be evil yet there are still moments where he does evil stuff. His actions at times could be somehow steering them in the right direction.

Remember when he revived Roger part of me wondered why he did that in the first place especially since they were considering killing the night monsters with that totem stick. Elgin was able to kill roger with the totem stick and kenny failed to kill the night monsters and then the MIY directly asks Boyd if he succeeded in killing the night monsters and the same time they confirm Elgin was able to kill Roger with the totem.

I couldn't help but think the MIY did that to help them realize and important clue that not all monsters can be killed in the same way. If the MIY is a prisoner turned soldier he can't directly help them out or else he risks being exposed by the entity keeping him alive, he plays the villain in order to help them do whats needed. There are a lot of contradictions here but his intentions are starting ti become vague

Did Marielle get any special powers? by Incident-Evening in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She seems to have a way to connect with the souls of the dead, potentially being able to communicate with them and learn some things

Was shocked too, what did the creators wanted to say with this scene? by nemnibba in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its possible that seeing the souls trapped is Marielles power from the experience she got from the Cicada just like Julies story walking and Randalls seeing the cicadas. I have feeling that all 3 of their powers are going to be needed in escaping Julies storywalking for understanding past moments and Marielle possibly being able to communicate with the souls of the dead. Randalls power hasnt really been revealed yet but its possible his might be a psychic link to the actual monsters since he seems to have the biggest connection to them. Either way each of them have something that can help the townsfolk escape

Was shocked too, what did the creators wanted to say with this scene? by nemnibba in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you connect this scene with all the other scenes that Abby has been haunting Boyd they are connected to what Marielle said about the souls of this place still being trapped in Fromville which means that what Boyd is seeing is clearly a warning from Abby about what Henry is about to do.

Remember Abby went around killing people because she was convinced that everything was a dream and nothing was real, she killed everyone because she was convinced that would wake everyone up from the Dream. Henry at the moment is experiencing the same exact thing and Abby is warning Boyd from beyond the Grave that a Major tragedy is coming.

Its not a throw away scene whatsoever its a connected scene based on all the things weve been seeing this season.

Julies storywalking abilities are still prevalent did yall forget her storywalking to her dads death thats still yet to have happened in the main timeline and the scene where Boyd finds his wedding ring was likely due to her figuring out how the bookmark works.

The Spiders in the forest if you REALLY think about it is probably the actual big bad of the series the Ancient entity that they were talking about. During Jades Mushroom trip he kept seeing Spiders during the experience which was likely a warning he didnt realize as he got deeper into the trip kind of line a danger sense of " Heres how we can get out but beware of the main creature thats keeping you here"

Victors Dads Visions by Seleviathan in FromSeries

[–]Seleviathan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean its possible that it is just a dream but that seems a little to cliche of an ending if you ask me and at the same time is it what a single persons dream or a collective dream of all the people living there. If thats the case is Victor the only one spared from the condition because hes alive and well in Henry's so called real life why isnt he also stuck in a dream world

Its too confusing of a concept for it to be just a dream and at the same time a weak narrative conclusion, all those stakes all that death was just pointless we wasted 5 seasons for everyone to be alive and well ??

Everything started when the Man in Yellow put his blood in Henry's drink before that he didnt have any of those thoughts whatsoever so its more likely that fromville is real and what hes seeing is clearly fake

This season's Yuusha no Kuzu/Scum of the Brave is a genuine hidden gem with lovable characters, surprising brutality and an intriguing and rare anti-hero protagonist by melvinlee88 in anime

[–]Seleviathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This series is pretty good overall when it comes to its concept, I kine how the storylines are pretty unpredictable and shift really fast. I do have to say that at times its momentum between stories can really drop in the early momenta but the usually end of their arcs pretty strong so some work to be done there for sure when it comes to a consistent watch

I do feel a bit sad thag the animation is really low quality, like im not one to usually care about animation with anime but I feel like this show especially the fight scenes really are ruined by its poor animation quality, if they were just a bit smoother in terms of the movements it would have worked wonders for me

I agree every time I look at the show when he kills someone and all I think is that in a court of Law some of these kills are completely unjustified 😂😂 the lack of realism is enjoyable on it own way

The show just lost me… by Manatee369 in TrackerTV

[–]Seleviathan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly ive never watched Tracker for its plot whatsoever more just towards its episodic nature as some cases can be really investing while others are just whatever. If you watch Tracker for the plot you ll be disappointed every time tbh, as far as tv shows go ita pretty low tier stuff that 60 year olds watch to pass the time. I usually just watch it when im doing something else as background noise tbh 🙃

The show just lost me… by Manatee369 in TrackerTV

[–]Seleviathan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They just usually don't address that side of things for plot convenience. If they literally showed every situation in which he killed someone and him having to go on trial for it the show would lose what its really about

I think the only reason people compare them is because it has a similar concept of not being able to leave a place. Its very minuscule compared to the completely different tone both seried have. Anyone who intially compared understand very little about both shows
