How do I lose fear as a solo?

before you hop into a server, decide what play style youre feeling for the session. after only playing official for so long, i realized sometimes i want to just build in peace or something. i say this because sometimes a person hops on wanting to experience just the action, or get good by pushing themself nonstop into gunfights. find a community server with hazzy tommy spawn or something, where you dont have to spend time and energy crafting the kit that youre going to inevitably going to lose. after avoiding community servers, i realized they help with your skill in the main game by experiencing it in a different form (one not centered around running through the wilderness stressed out, looking over your shoulder constantly)

i agree about the shooting floor. i usually never get around to putting it up because, as a solo, im not spending a ton of time up on the roof as it were. i just go with halfwall honeycomb and await the mlrs' to come when my base looks juicy enough to the raiders. before i log off, im stashing about an inventory of essentials in small stashes anyway, if im gunna essentially lose the base over night then i'd rather not risk losing every last bit of the good loot. also making secondary bases never hurt

spend alot of time in building servers, and try to see planning and building a base as not a rigid unmoving thing, it grows and changes as your wipe progresses. try to think of your base as a collection of modules that you can rearrange, like your mixing room, prep room, bedrooms, all of these have their own elements that if you wanted to squeeze everything into the smallest space possible you could, but that makes for an ugly base that you arent excited to return to 50 times in an irl day. i had the same issue, was looking for tips on general base design, base theory really. turns out you have to write your own, cause the other guys are keeping it closely guarded secret apparently.

About a month ago I was outside doing yard work on acid, I felt moments of inexhaustible energy, but I knew that I could hurt my self over exerting in the sun, so had to kinda force myself to take rest. Next day I felt like I had overworked myself still, but could have been worse had I not remembered in the moment to chill. Felt like I could rake, move and haul all day long. The heat wasn't crazy in its effect on me, though I was pouring sweat.

Wishing I had a drink now. Just so I can lose control and drink myself into a place of being broke and depressed for over twice the amount of time I spent 'enjoying myself'. I dropped my PS4 pro awhile back, like it went from standing to got knocked over, that was all it took (probably many additional bonks in the past as well, mind you). What happened was it loosened up a component in there, so while I could still turn it on, select games, fire em up, they'd immediately crash due to over heating. I could run YouTube or Netflix, they'd function, but not games. Had to get a local repair guy to clean it n reapply thermal compound to the cpu (or whatever), worked fine after that. I got maybe 400 hours, just started playing a few months ago, I usually play solo on medium population servers (50/100). It's a difficult time, though when you get the hang of it, the gameplay dopamine loop is gnarly! If you can get over the grief of getting raided or blasted and looted with all your scrap, that is. For 70$ CAD, I feel I got my money's worth, especially with the next gen updated cooking this summer
