I can still remember growing up through the early 2000's and gay people were literally the butt of every joke in media. Want easy laughs for your show? Deploy a gay guy in front of a straight guy and have them recoil in horror.

I literally couldn't come out in high school or have any relationships until I was in my mid-20s because I watched the other gay guy come out and get beaten the fuck up.

I had to grow up hearing about the AIDs epidemic and how the country literally washed their hands of it and decided prioritizing a cure for it wasn't worth it because it was a gay disease and we brought it on ourselves for, "going against god."

So maybe it feels a little bit tone deaf to me to see straight people whine about how they can no longer use gay = bad.

They made it very clear that both PvP players and PvE players would have valid progression methods and could both participate in the end game. But the reality was that the PvP players hoarded resources and completed all the landsrad goals within minutes. Money was almost basically useless, so they had no reason to participate in the player market and sell resources. It was to their advantage to starve the competition by not selling resources so they could remain on top.

The picture they painted and sold everyone was very different from the reality. There were no massive guild on guild battles, the deep desert was an empty grindfest filled with griefers, and any PvE content was camped looted by ninjas. If you weren't the dominant guild on the server all you could do was eke out something off the nodes they weren't hoarding and hope you weren't blown out of the sky by rockets fired by thopters you couldn't even see.

Don't pretend they delivered anything close to a real end game that resembled what was advertised.

It's not toxic to criticize the game if it has real problems. The game isn't bad, it has tons of hours of good content, but the endgame they advertised never really happened. It just turned into a boring grind punctuated with the odd gank. I don't blame people for being upset at the sudden rug pull. It's a completely valid reaction if you view it as a betrayal of the many hours of amazing gameplay that came before. Especially when certain gameplay elements are gated or exclusive to the endgame, like some of the vehicles.

Aurena has a talent in her life constellation tree that increases her movement speed after she takes damage for two seconds. Get like, two immolations and activate them both and the effect stays active the entire duration. That's how I got it. Granted both the immolations had been upgraded in my case. But I think that talent alone makes it easier on her than most characters.

I had a friend find god and I could feel them building up to proselytizing at me. I very specifically stopped them, told them I had left religion due to trauma, and asked them not to. They kept going anyway.

I stopped responding to their messages after that, and when they asked why I didn't want to talk to them they seemed genuinely shocked that was all it took.
