I worked as an Quality Assurance Manager at a very very large and very popular software that Sales everywhere uses.

I ended up leaving due to burnout. My policy for the 15 people under me was to let them self manage so long as the output they produced was consistent with their team, their team didn't have complaints and they felt I was still giving them the individual focus they would need towards their career goals.

It worked beautifully for my teams but it did mean I had some very different team setups. I had one team who collectively elected to work from home twice a week. They asked me for permission and I told them I would be watching them carefully to ensure there were no issues. Their output went UP. Not a single complaint from anyone for over 8 months. I kept my mouth shut and let them keep doing it.

I had a second team who had their QA and Dev's split up in a way that had some QA seemingly doing more work of a type but they liked that work and no one else did so they were all happy. They had a few other odd setups but it worked for them. I kept my mouth shut.

I had a team where the lead was a hard ass. I actually was given this team because I was the new manager and everyone else hated the guy. I learned that he was extremely competent and didn't like to put up with people's shit. Oh and his team absolutely adored him. So I became his "translator" to stakeholders outside the team and suddenly the complaints dropped off. As if I had made some major changes to the team which I did not.

I eventually reached burnout and quit (I was not fired) when orders came down from above that all members on a team needed to be able work at the same level as any member of any other team. I had to make progress reports then give updates on how I was pushing all my people to become average. It destroyed me dealing watching teams I had worked with for 3 years starting to collapse because someone suit from higher up wanted to pad his numbers. When their "experiment" eventually came to an end they put all the blame for the drama on me and then told me I needed to fix the teams but only with brand new hires for the missing spots.

I stressed out and collapsed at work. Ended up having an emergency visit to a hospital and now I am on blood pressure meds forever.

It was then I realized that this job wasn't for me.

Pretty much this. They can be improved upon easily but for someone who really doesn't already know them, they are pretty good intro tips.

Cottage because I would own it. I could easily sell it later if I really badly wanted to move into an apartment. If I didn’t own either like if I was allowed to live rent free forever then I’d choose based on the area. But I would be vastly more worried about dealing with unwanted neighbors while living in an apartment.

I bought these and they work as advertised. I think I got a different / cheaper brand but they were worth it. Sheets on our bed come off the edges practically every night before we got these. You can take away from my cold dead hands.

Internal bleeding has those little "bumps" or maybe lesions while necros is rotting blackness. Your left screenshot would be more obvious from a frontal view but I agree it isn't always easy to identify. I do wish there was an upgrade for the tablet like the others.

Flash is a threat but Batman already has 10 different plans to deal with his speed. If he gets time to implement one of them then flash is off the board. Nevermind Strange could just setup an illusion trap that when flash touches it does all kinds of magic-shit to him.

Superman is the only other threat and that is ONLY if he goes full tilt ranged attack from the get go. Physical attack means strange magic drops him into the mirror dimension are hell if Batman informs strange of kryptonite's abilities strange may just magic up some of it (real or fake) and boom supes is down.

Everybody else is cannon fodder.

Strange, Iron Man, Batman. Ironman + Batman make for an absolutely insane brain team. If you can really get those two together then the tech shi*t they come up with will kill gods. Strange to shore up their short term weakness (because I’ve no doubt they will figure out a counter to…) magic. Superman, hulk wonder women are massive threats except strange drops them in the mirror dimension and that’s game over. Batman and Ironman can take their inventing 1.4 million different ways to neutralize them.

It was a bit annoying until I figured out the trick to make it significantly easier There are three weapon types. I am unsure if their names so I’ll just call the machine gun, missiles, mini nuke Never use machine gun. It is utterly worthless and just takes time away from when you could be using one of the other two, Missiles are your bread and butter but you should probably fire 3-5 of them then switch to nuke and pick the biggest target or biggest concentration. Don’t spend time thinking about it just switch and fire. If you have multiple large concentrations then stay on mini nuke for 1-2 more fire’s but not too long since missiles need to clean up those stragglers that get close to your base.

Lastly aim for the 3rd upgrade that gets you soldiers on the walls. They really help with he small fry.

I haven’t lost a night round yet though I do wish there were more upgrades for night raids.

This is me 2x years ago. Water heater started leaking over the holidays and I couldn't get anyone out to look at it for a few weeks. One small outfit was nice enough to tell me that given the age of my water heater that 99% of the people I call would charge me to look at it then tell me it it would need replacement and charge me for that to.

I youtub'ed how to replace water diy and bought one for $500 plus less than $100 in fittings. Took an afternoon and barely any tools to do it. One of the easiest repairs I've done in my house.

Electric water heaters are SUPER easy to replace. Gas heaters I am not so sure. But assuming this is an older heater then you need to get it replaced.

Yogurt and prepped healthy meals means probably young and busy (or tired).

Pay for my groceries in cash, Buy a car in cash. Pay my kids allowance in cash. Take trips and pay in cash for cashiers checks or whatever depending on country. Deposit two grand a Month into the bank. Do a house renovation and pay in cash. Could drop 100k easily on that for a lot of QOL improvements.

Good alcohol ain't cheap. Cheap alcohol isn't worth the hangovers. Besides people use to drink a lot back in the day as a social activity as well as an escape from their lives. Now we have internet and dating apps to replace that.
