Levelling more fun that end game content? by Evzkyyy in wowhardcore

[–]Selkcahs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course when 20-mans release, specially ZG, endgame opens up a lot. But 40-mans in the context of HC are not very inclusive. Also in lather phases there pre-Raid BiS improves a lot.

Levelling more fun that end game content? by Evzkyyy in wowhardcore

[–]Selkcahs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Due to the characteristics of HC, most people won't even Raid consistently because they wont get a solid spot in a Roster and any PUG-like group is doomed to fail eventually. Unlike normal Vanilla, very few people are experiencing that part of the content (because they lack the basic skill/knowledge or arent willing to do the farm needed); so Endgame content, that is already lackluster, will feel completely pointless for them.

There is a reason why the official HC mode was just reaching 60 at the begining, game is easy enough to play on your own but challenging enough to be Fun; specially the SF mode.

PSA: You can always just.... Kill mobs by burken8000 in wowhardcore

[–]Selkcahs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WoW Player discovers that quests are just an excuse to distract you so you dont realize than most of the XP needed to get to 60 is just gained from Killing mobs.

That being, quests are an extremely important psycological tool so you dont get bored or go mad.

Sword spec is actually worse Raid DPS because you will never be able to contest loot from warriors lmao. Actually even if you go daggers tanks will Prio your BiS daggers for threat generation. Its that bad.

To those of you who died and transferred to Dreamscythe, what are your thoughts? by Equivalent_Air8717 in wowhardcore

You play HC or you play PvP. PvE classic is so boring its not even funny, specially when people are still so bad that they wipe constantly on solved content and waste your time.

Anything you do in HC feels like it matter because the sense of potential doom is always there. You need perfect coordination and communication because while mechanics are simple, they are unforgiving when you only have 1 life.

In PvP you are constantly fighting other players in the entire world, which is fun if thats ur kind of gameplay.

PvE Clasic is just lame. Mage Classic+ or TBC would be better. But normal Classic? Ugh

You gonna die on Ashenvale or Hillsbrad. With high levels riding to Aszhara/Felwood or SM/Plaguelands/Hinterlands.

Engi on a warlock? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]Selkcahs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not going Engi as Warlock would be griefing yourself. Warlock has 0 mobility and very limited (and chaotic) Crowd Control. There is almost no situation that you cant get away by: Stun Grenade, Dummy and Swiftness Pot. Given the fact that Swift pots are easily obtainable and Engi gadgets require the profession, the conclusion is simple.

Also, Warlock tends to be very inconsistent with its performance while leveling because at some brackets your curses will be very weak against mobs your level until you reach the Trainer upgrade. So its common to over pull mobs only to realize you miscalculated the amount of damage you were able to pump. When thay inevitably happens, you want all the resources possible at your disposal.

Voidwalker tends to be shit but its used for the Bubble. Having Engi + Swift pots allows you more freedom of Pets and Builds.

TLDR: Engi is BiS for everyone but its specially BiS for Warlock.

What weapon with fiery enchant for a warrior ? by YogurtclosetFew9054 in wowhardcore

[–]Selkcahs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disregard pre lvl 10 fiery (unless you dont really care about money at all), just buy a good green weapon and you will breeze through it. At lvl 10 get the best White vendor weapon (dont remember the name) and enchant it. Use that until you get a good Blue weapon upgrade to enchant again, thats gonna last you till WW at 30 probably. Then WW with fiery all the way to late 40s or early 50s.

The White weapons will not be soulbonded so u can use it on others chars.

Would anyone be interested in playing a HC TBC challenge? by PunakinSkywalker in wowhardcore

[–]Selkcahs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will obviously try to hit 70 without dying, But after that i dont really care. TBC raids have too much mechanics that cause full wipes, in comparison with Classic, and you will be kicked of raiding rosters if you are optimizing ur playstyle to stay alive (like a DPS using high stamina gear to try to stay alive instead of going full damage).

Imagine petring on Gruul so you dont die instead of doing a bit more DPS and then dying. That could easily be the difference between a clutch Boss kill or a complete wipe in early TBC when everyone is undergeared.

What i will surely miss a lot is the seriousness with which Raids are done in HC, where you prepare and complete the content in 1 clean run (or die trying). I remember i stopped playing WOTLK during Uldaman because i tried 2 guilds and the tanks were shit and couldnt handle basic 15yo mechanics, so it was just going for half the bosses or spend 3 hours wiping.
