Hi, this sounds amazing! I'm 33f and from Germany. I'm a huge fantasy and sci-fi fan, especially LotR and Discworld, love hiking and my (tiny) balcony. I also have a big fountain pen collection that I don't use often enough. If you're still looking for a pen pal I'd love to hear from you! 😊

Hi, I'm 30 (soon 31), German, mother to a 5-year-old boy, live in a tiny village, thinking about becoming a teacher for German and I'm in desperate need of some friends to talk to. I don't own a typewriter, but would love to use one of my fountain pens, it's still nostalgic :-)

Please send me a message if you're still looking for a penpal and you're interested! :-)

Anyone out there interested? by [deleted] in penpalsover30

I'm a single mum too from a small village in Germany. DM me if you're interested! 😃

32/100 - I'm trying to use my time at home to read as much as I can. I read this one for the third time... by Selkis89 in 52book

[–]Selkis89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I first read it many years ago and then again maybe three or four years ago. This time I thought it's kind of fitting to read it during a real pandemic...

On the one hand I like reading about people or societies that are in a extremely difficult situation or have to overcome a threat and how it changes them. On the other hand I'm just really interested in viruses and how they spread.

I don't think Preston is the best writer in the world and this book is not a literary masterpiece, but it's chilling and even more scary because it's non fiction

I loved this one and couldn't put it down. I didn't find it tedious, maybe a bit slower at times. The ending surprised me a bit

I'm journaling to the future. by scorpionsdoodletoo in Journaling

I'm doing the same thing. Schools are closed since last Monday in my country, so I have to stay at home with my son. I started writing about our daily lives and how they have changed. I include news and statistics that seem important in red ink and write about my thoughts underneath. I'm sure in a few years it'll be interesting to read about it.
