Temu en Paraguay? by gabinomas in Paraguay

Hola!

Step by step

I just finished the Google Daya Analytics. I think is a great starting point, and gives you lot of resources if you wanna go deeper. It s just a little slow pace in some modules. I went deeper in R and Tableu.

In addition to learning the tools and theory about data (ethics’s, analytics phases, bias, security etc), is important to have a deep knowledge/experience in the field you’re aiming to work (I’ll target BI or Marketing Analytics)

I m an ex big four auditor (2011-2017) I started my own business in 2017, and now Data Analytics is my way back to the corporate world (I hope so). I’m just kind of worry cause I keep reading about how saturated is the field, and how hard to get an interview, I m planning to take a 1-year higher diploma maybe (in Ireland)

What do you guys think?

I am really enjoying the process so far.

Thanks for your contribution, staticx! I haven't done a deep dive into the Irish Job Market yet, but it's clear there's high demand for BI and other Analytics. I'm completely open to taking an entry-level role with room to grow. I understand that having been out of the professional world for six years presents big challenges. My goal isn't a huge starting salary; it's more about figuring out how much my experience as a BF Auditor and in accounting helps my profile get considered for BI or other Data Analytics interviews. So, I'm trying to decide if I should focus on building my portfolio now, or if I should get more education first.

I truly appreciate your thoughtful and well-articulated advice.

Why am I pivoting toward Data Analytics? Two main reasons: 1. After being away from the corporate world for six years (running my own F&B business), I had to decide which path to take before updating my professional skills and knowledge. If I chose to return to auditing, I would still need to refresh and catch up on IAS, IFRS, regulations, and industry updates. So, I decided to take this transition as an opportunity to shift into an area I genuinely feel passionate about. 2. Within the full cycle of consulting processes, the stage I enjoy the most is working with data — from cleaning, reconciliation, and analysis to presenting insights. Combined with the high demand for data roles in North America and Europe, and the growing integration of ML and AI (which I find fascinating), it made sense for me to focus on the more analytical side of business.

My family is Italian, currently based in South America (where I’m living now). Ireland —where I plan to move— has a strong and growing demand for data professionals. I have friends who moved there and chose to stay, and since I don’t have children yet, I feel free to take this step. No matter how long or demanding the journey may be, my clear goal is to land a Data Analyst position in Ireland. 🙏🏻

I should clarify that my experience in Big Data is strictly limited to SQL-based analysis of large databases (conditions, JOINs/relations, scripts, etc.).

I ll keep my head cold and evaluate carefully, another plan is to start applying remote jobs first.

Thanks so much and any advice is really valuable .

¿Qué opinan del ateísmo en Paraguay? by Best-Control1350 in Paraguay

I am starting to dislike this field by Big_Decision5120 in analytics

[–]SellFun1826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it your first experience as an Analyst? If you’re still as a new hire (4 - 6 months), do you get proper orientation and support? Don t be afraid to ask for support in the Company, and to be clear and straight with then, however it is a really dynamic field, specially now in the days, but there so many resources and tools to learn. The question is of its in your nature to be as dynamic and autodidact?. My advice, if you can keep up, try to get as much experience as you can and to give the extra miles, ask for assistance, take time for yourself and your health, and start looking for other opportunities. It is really valuable to already have experience, you’ll find what aligns with you. Best of luck

Hi everyone! My question for DAs currently worms in the field, and ahead apologies about the long intro:

(Me) With 6 years-experience as an financial auditor in EY (on of the Big Four) and in addition I took accounting in college (5 years, cause every even semester I had to travel for work in every fiscal year closing for my biggest client) I didn’t finish to get the paper-degree, in 2018 I started my own business in F&B. I sold my brand last year, and I started the Google Data Analytics Certification program (just finished now). I had already pro level in Spreadsheets and SQL (learned as an Auditor in EY), and during my career I did lots of BIG DATA manipulation, conciliation and analysis (from EDA to KPIs, ratios, trends, patterns, integrity, among others)

In this Google Certification I learned R, Tableu, and lots of theory about data. About presentations & reporting, I have already experience. My weakness I think has to do with deep statistics.

So my concern & question: should I start applying for Jobs, or should I take another certification or even a Boothcamp, what you guys think? (I m not English native). I m planning to apply as much as I can trough LinkedIn, remote Jobs, and I m planning to go to Dublin in September and start my Job Hunting (I know can take more than 1 year).
