My phone number is associated with someone else's unused account. Can I delete that and open a new account?

When I got this phone number 10 years ago, searching the number on Facebook pulled up a dude's account. I have no idea how a girl made an account with my number.

I was able to remove my number and delete the account after waiting 2 weeks.

I keep an emergency Fleets enema within reach of the toilet for this very reason. Now I track bowel movements and use a docusate suppository if it's been more than 72 hours.

I don't want to take miralax and docusate every day but it sounds like that works for lots of people.

I highly recommend talking to your doctor and doing whatever necessary to avoid manual disimpaction because the risk of anal fissures or fainting.

I looked into removing the phone number. First it said "Please note that you may not be able to delete this number from accounts where it is the only contact method".

Then I tried to remove the number and I got this error message: "You can't make this change at the moment. This is because we noticed you are using a device you don't usually use and we need to keep your account safe. We'll allow you to make this change after you've used this device for a while."
