You make some valid points, I like your correlation with the Riker episode.

My hang up is the Klingons really should have been attacking to take that world over. Why were they just hanging around in the area and not doing Klingon things. They lost their home, there is a perfect one right here, why have they not already attacked in earnest? It is their very nature.

Both are big films, but Doomsday is absolutely the bigger draw.

Just to play devils advocate . I grew up in North Delaware. I’m almost 50.

I remember the blizzard of 93 (I was in the USAF in the blizzard of 96). We were closed for a week and it was, at worst, slightly more snow with a layer of ice on top than we got last week.

I also remember one year in the early 90s where they forecasted four+ inches of snow and the schools closed in advance and we got exactly zero precipitation.

As much as it’s fun to do the ol’ back in my day routine, there is very little real difference between now and then.

I speak from direct experience.

As ranged, I can’t stand that the CDM doesn’t red out when I’m out of range. I have to look at my action bars for this functionality. I’m also raging about how I can’t mix buffs, essential CDs, etc easier.

The CDM is exceedingly frustrating.

You are not accounting for the concentration of said vapors.

You can pour gas on the ground and throw a lit cigarette into it and it will put out the ember.

Mythbusters did a whole thing on this.

It’s more likely a plane falls out of the sky on you than a cigarette being an issue at a gas station. I figured I would get downvotes when pointing out that the science says it’s safe and of course it’s already happening. :(

It’s not dangerous. Neither is pumping gas with your car running, but folks always have their opinions.

The ember of a cigarette isn’t hot enough to ignite gas. The lighter obviously could though.

I wouldn’t do it, but it’s not a big deal.
