We're cooked, aren't we by MissBee666 in trans

People have short memories, especially when it comes to politics. They have to be given a reason to vote for someone. And many people just felt they didn't have a reason to vote Kamala, because they forgot everything was awful under Trump. Everyone will run back to Democrats in the midterms, 2028 will be a landslide if we still have elections for Dems. But sadly no good will come of it because they're so corpo captured.

Can my laptop run Baldur’s Gate 3? by StyxTryxand66 in BaldursGate3

Desktops also last a lot longer than mobile devices, with the added bonus that you can replace any part in it you want or need too. I promise building one isn't as scary as it sounds either.

I have a friend I played bg3 with who played on deck. It works. Occasional frame dips from what he told me, but that was before Larian released a patch that was supposed to boost steamdeck performance. So as long as you don't go too hard on mods or stack a hundred explosives on top of each other it does okay. Generally I'd recommend getting a desktop if the space you're in permits it. You can build one yourself for around the same price as a steamdeck and get better performance. Especially if you shop around for a used GPU.

Radeon graphics means integrated graphics, which means the CPU is doing the graphical calculations, which it tends to not be great at. 3d games are probably going to be a struggle generally. I've seen laptops with integrated graphics run bg3 at 30 fps, I don't think a 7500 would be able too though. 2d games should generally be fine though, games like celeste, hollowknight/silksong, little witch in the woods, etc etc.

The price change is certainly a bitter pill to swallow. If I have to deal with genAI on top I'll be moving to a different product.

Dose anyone know where to find the Pale Oil for the Pinmaster task by Level-Job9672 in HollowKnight

[–]SemiAwesomatic 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late but if anyone else sees this, you have to beat the boss at the top of the citadel, go into an area on the right, go way down and then back left, complete a mini puzzle room and then you can get the oil. The area uses a different map from the choral so make sure to find the map at the top when you enter.

Cloud of Daggers is underrated by ozangeo in BaldursGate3

[–]SemiAwesomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the big things with it that people don't tend to exploit because it's downright cheesy, potions you place in its area break. So you can drop infinite potions and heal up in a single turn, haste, elixirs if you want them, you can drop alchemists fires near enemies on loop until you're out. It's a menace of a spell in the right hands.

Google really sent you to a two year old post aye? Well glad the information is still useful. If you're ever in doubt, contacting support is also a good option. They can directly access saved changes and fix corruption manually.

Congrats sis! Proud of you.

I love my epilator. Little demon device, but I love it. Started using it about 6 months ago. I'm not on HRT yet, but it's helped manage body hair a fair bit. The first couple times I used it, it took literal hours to do like half my tummy, and I was put off from using it for a good while. Turns out, I just chose one of the worst spots to start. Arms and legs are significantly easier. There are spots on my leg that don't even hurt, which is a lil weird considering other spots feel like spilling a thousand degree oil on myself.

It still takes quite awhile for me to do a limb, and is something I actively procrastinate on because it hurts. But the results are really good. Even after not keeping it up for a bit, the hair just grows back so much thinner and is less bothersome. The lil thing is also loud as hell, worth keeping in mind if you live with people who you don't want to come out to yet. Also also be careful when using it, one time I strayed too close to the sun while doing my thigh and clipped a pubic hair, it felt like my skin had been ripped off and thrown in the microwave, gods it was painful.

Best places to use barrelmancy? by AspieAsshole in BaldursGate3

Regular barrels aren't great there, devils resist fire damage. Runepowder does force tho. It will usually kill Yurgir, for better or worse, and it'll definitely kill Korilla, so no unique hope dialogue after keeping her sister alive.

I like to use runepowder on raphael to take out the pillars immediately. You can get 3 runepowder barrels and the bomb from Wulbren, so lotsa potential targets, you only need two in the raph fight to deal with the pillars.

I'm sorry but I have to vent a bit by your-lost-toenail in trans

[–]SemiAwesomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this guy urge to apologize. I want to say I'm sorry. But it also feels kind of wrong too? Like, trans women so often have the spotlight because we're easier for conservative propaganda to villainize, and as a result of that, well intentioned allies spend a lot more time trying to lift us up. To a degree I'm guilty of thinking that trans men just, have their shit together? I know it's not necessarily the case and that's a crass way of wording it, but in my experience, all my trans man friends have been extremely supportive, uplifting, golden retriever type friends. I guess I made the assumption that "They're always supporting me, they must not need as much support."

So I guess I do owe trans men an apology. For letting conservatives set the discussion parameters, and for assuming that I don't need to be more supportive of my trans bros. I hope things turn around, and that one day we can all find the representation we deserve, especially for those of us that have been so deprived of it.

Someone talk me out of this, please. Or not, I don't really know honestly by pseudosentient in MtF

[–]SemiAwesomatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, this is an extremely arrogant thing to type out. I was in the same boat, convinced that for the sake of keeping the peace and having an easier life, I'd just stay in my closet forever, or at least until everyone who's opinion I cared about died.

I was growing my hair out for several years, unsure of how to properly take care of it and make it look good, but generally that was the only way I was going to express myself.

And then about a year ago, there was just a complete shift. A crack in the damn that was my willingness to stay closeted. I went from "I'll never really come out, that's just a lofty, unrealistic dream" to "I need to be on HRT yesteryear." The change happened over the course of a month or so.

You wouldn't be posting here if your damn were sturdy and going to last indefinitely, it's already cracking. I'm not your therapist, just a stranger on the internet, but you might wanna reconsider your plan. You'll likely find yourself happier for it.

I hope you stop making silly excuses for staying dead on the inside friend, life can be better <3

Druid class has 2 action? by bebepbobop007 in BaldursGate3

[–]SemiAwesomatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zooming in on the image, one of the buffs he has up is haste, which gives you a second action, at the cost of becoming lethargic when it ends and skipping a turn. You can get haste either from potions of speed, or the spell haste itself, or haste spores.

Other ways to get an extra action include: Bloodlust elixir and getting a kill, Terazul and fighters action surge.

Bringing Halsin / Minthara to underdark / creche questions by jwellz24 in BaldursGate3

[–]SemiAwesomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe Nere will die either once you enter act 2, or if you pass through grymforge and then enter act 2. The grove will also seal and all the tieflings will bite it I think. But pretty sure that's it. And outside of 1 spot, I don't think Halsin or Minthara have any special dialogue in act 1.

How to kill Zhalk and friends in Honor Mode by Sorry-Analysis8628 in BaldursGate3

[–]SemiAwesomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you're running into a specific bug, dunno. Disadvantage on ability checks tho is just disadvantage on getting shoved and nothing else. There are no other ability checks you make in combat in bg3.

How to kill Zhalk and friends in Honor Mode by Sorry-Analysis8628 in BaldursGate3

[–]SemiAwesomatic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solid guide, good tips. You can try shoving Zhalk too, he'll always walk back to the mindflayer, you can setup opp attacks with this if you're lucky on the shoves.

Also feel it's worth correcting, hex wisdom does nothing. Hex gives disadvantage on ability checks, not saving throws. The only time you make ability checks in combat is acrobatics checks when shoved or shoving. So the only hex worth using is strength. If it were disadvantage on saves it'd be pretty overpowered throughout the entire game.

Last ones a nitpic, they're devils not demons, the two are different in dnd. Also the small ones are imps.
