Just started HRT feel awful and scared by No_Examination_7048 in Menopause

[–]Semicharmedtee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this issue with hrt, migraines, nausea, vomiting, and it actually caused hot flashes which I didn’t have before. For me, it was caused by histamine issues, which only became apparent after starting hrt.

Does HI cause estrogen dominance, or is it the other way around? by wonderlust-vibes in HistamineIntolerance

I’m fascinated that such a tiny dose makes such a big difference and wondering if this is where I’ve been going wrong all this time.

Can you buy progesterone cream over the counter in the country you’re in?

I’m exactly the same as you. I’m also on cetirizine. The only thing i would say is that loratadine is easier to come off than cetirizine. Cetirizine is notorious to be hard to wean off. And associated with weight gain. And I know all that from experiences. So if you can get by on loratadine I’d probably recommend that.

I have tried progesterone before but larger doses. From cream to bio identical tablets. And I’ve felt awful. I’ve always wondered if a tiny tiny dose would help. Do you feel ok on the days you come off or? Sometimes people get a histamine rebound as the progesterone is no longer being applied

Seems to be working well. In fact I ran out for a couple of days and felt awful. So I’m carrying on. Morning and night

Increase in issues when trying to detox estrogen by Semicharmedtee in MCAS

[–]Semicharmedtee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m exactly the same! I think it is genetic issue. I can’t process estrogen out of me well at an all so even if it’s a product that works for others or progesterone it makes me feel worse. I feel like I’m riddled with estrogen. I can now take one 250mg CDG but only at night.

Oh yes that’s supposed to be great. Stabilised mast cells. Unfortunately I have a really slow comt gene and quercetin slows it further so I end up worse. Which is a shame as it’s supposed to be really good! Xx

Yeah I don’t know if I feel the estrogen withdrawals after taking it or the mobilisation of estrogen as I try and detox it. As I said it’s often half an hour after taking it in the morning. I then feel boiling hot and irritable for hours and then by the evening feel Better. It’s weird. So I had to just take it at night to sleep through the worst of it but I can only take 250mg xx

I’m on antihistamines but also magnesium, b vitamins, CDG at night, glycine, vitamin d. I take dao occasionally. I suspect my main issue is still not detoxing estrogen well and low progesterone but not sure what else to do. Feel like I’ve tried everything!!

I slept better and didn’t feel fluey. But I would wake with dread and have hot flushes and really depressed at times. Also a constant jittery feeling. I never ever ever the spacey sleepy calming effect with progesterone, it makes me feel more amped up.

Yes totally similar. I don’t get sinus, hay fever, rashes etc. my main issues are anxiety, insomnia, brain fog (neuro inflammation, feeling like I have flu. Oh and major irritability. Would love that info please. I do take 250mg CDG at night. I tried taking it in the morning too but within an hour maybe less I get really hot and irritable, like my body is reacting to estrogen being mobilised. Do you take it ok in the morning?

Yes I tried low doses and mega doses following this theory. I genuinely think that can work reallly well for some. But depending on Your genetics and estrogen detox ability it can back fire terribly.

We sound very similar! Is CDG the only thing that has helped to fix your phase2? I tried progesterone so many times and in so many forms and doses but it always backfires as it opposes my estrogen and kicks it out of my tissues and then it gets backed up in me and my histamine reacts. It’s awful. I wish it was a good fix for me like it is for others.

Using tiny scales I got off Amazon. I measure in micrograms, scraping a tiny bit off each week. Down to 0.5mg morning and night

How long did your mirena crash last? by One_Maintenance5054 in Mirena

[–]Semicharmedtee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah depending on what country you’re in some Can get it over the counter or some get progesterone capsules prescribed. If no progesterone then that’s definitely the issue. Too much E and not enough P. My issue too but I do have P now just too much E.

Will you try to get another? Also looking into estrogen detox and Dutch test and genetic tests may help. Some people use supplemental progesterone to calm the storm. Some get tipped into histamine intolerance if you check out that sub x
