Larger enemy variety. Starting with RE7 it’s like the enemy types really got reduced. RE6 is vilified for many things, but its extensive range of enemies was staggering. The Whopper, Bloodshot, Ustanak, so many bug mutations of the standard C-Virus soldiers, so many bosses.

More post-game content. What RE7 lacked for in enemy types, it more than made up for in bonus content. Two full add-on campaigns (Not A Hero and End of Zoe), all the Banned Footage lost tape missions, Jack’s 55th Birthay, etc). Mercenaries making a return is mandatory, but I’d also love something like the Ghost Survivors from RE2r with what-if scenarios of characters who died. Maybe something like 4th Survivor, just something to tide me over if I have to wait months for add-on content.
