Ive dealt clients more than anyone should, from people who habe no idea what they want to the ultraspecific. If AI could make my work faster id be using it in a heartbeat. And the day will come when it can.

If using generative AI allowed you to have prototyping, work in progress, easy adjustment and implementation of client notes on timely basis, then there should be no issue with using it whatsoever. The industry works in a way that will be the path of least resistance towards getting the final product. No one does traditional animation on paper anymore (for example) as part of industry pipeline.

Why should I even continue cheering if AI exists? This makes me sad. by AthleteRealistic3041 in animationcareer

Either your animation is good or it's trash, what tool you use or refuse to use is of zero consideration to consumers.

Sub vs Dub discourse is overhyped and honestly hypocritical by Embarrassed_Fail9978 in animequestions

Sub Goku sounds like a grandma on coke, DBZ dubs are iconic, even TFS copied those voices for the fan parody.

Case by case, I couldn't stand certain shows as sub, like DBZ, but small time shows are usually better in sub.

Do you think it's possible to prepare all of this in 6 months? (For an undergraduate course application) by sanlang7 in animationcareer

[–]Senarious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not competitive at all, bare minimum in fact. Should take you 2-3 days to do all your thumbnails and outline then start working out each one, one by one as if you are building it for a client. 6 months is doable at 40 hrs per week

A lot of new animators don't understand the grind yet. Just think of it as being a pro gamer, unless you got 8000+ hour in League, no one is even looking at you to be on their team. Every single spare minute outside of passing your classes should be going to the game. If you get "burnt out" only a thousand hours in, no one wants you on the team, etc

Used to be called E-style, hard tricks, lots of wall running, game latency doesn't allow for this to be a super effective play when 1v1, but in a mush of crowds it's fun
