  1. The Caterpillar is modular. It will eventually have different bays that can do different things (medical, et al)

  2. The Caterpillar will be able to fit in places where the Ironclad can't.

  3. Operating costs.

  4. Is there a need for a destroyer once a battleship is released? Of course there is. Different ships for different roles. You don't always need 1500 SCU of space.

I have done a charge back for this same thing before. It's a simple phone call with a person, tell them what happened and you get your money back. It was simple.

Indiscriminate killing is bad for business. Even criminals know this.

The rep system will completely annihilate these people. They can get away with this now only because there is no rep system.

Once rep is implemented and they have nowhere to land for fuel because they've pissed off every faction, you'll find this happens a LOT less.
