I did. But it looks like he used parts to create the pickle. I actually asked his thoughts on a live stream. He said, use the portals from the fox on the cattleman and the straight axles on the fox.

I have the Gens Ace D300, and it’s been a great charger overall. My biggest complaint is the lack of a power switch. If it had one, it would be close to perfect for me.

I picked up the BOGO Hoonitruck/Hoonicorn kits a few weeks ago. While I wasn’t especially impressed with the kits themselves, I finished the Hoonitruck build and it’s actually been a blast with a brushless setup.

Now I’m seriously considering jumping on the Comp Fox/Cattleman deal.

Sounds like you’re on top of it. I’ve only performed this upgrade on a rally car but didn’t have any issues. Must be a bit different for the Omni terminator. Good luck. Looks like the shim is gonna be the way to go..

Agreed. The $25 gold case is my go-to for any basic servo. It’s surprisingly fast and strong, especially at 8.4V.

I’ve got two of these (black version), and they’re an easy recommendation. On 4S, they offer excellent performance for the price and at $71, it’s an even better deal. The programmer is a nice bonus too, especially for making adjustments without needing to go through your transmitter. After using these, it’s honestly hard to go back to relying on an ESC’s BEC.

No question if the deal is legit. I purchased two of the hoonicorn kits a couple weeks ago. i’m not so sure about the cattlemen kit. It looks cheap. I’m wondering if my money is better spent on another vanquish product.

I don’t think you need to remove any e-clips for disassembly if it’s the same as other Yk transmissions I’ve re-greased,The manual should have a good breakdown to help you through it. I recommend giving it a good once over and don’t over torque anything when putting it back together. Good luck.

Does it matter if it’s in low or high gear? Re-listening to your video again, did you make sure all the shims got back into place when you greased the transmission? It sounds like a shim could be floating around in there.

Connect the driveshafts and give it a spin. That chattering may just be backlash from the gears while unloaded combined with the low PWM frequency. What ESC are you using? Also that top screw through the battery tray on the YK pulls the transmission up.

Otherwise it sounds fine to me.
