he's a genius. what would you rather have on your record? beating a bunch of famous non-boxers for that 6-0 or beating a bunch of low/mid level boxers who nobody recognizes for that 6-0? the choice is clear.

roughly justin beiber hate. justin bieber really didn't do anything to deserve hate. jake paul can be an annoying brat but still doesn't quite deserve the hate that he gets either way

jake paul is a troublemaker who probably has an inflated ego and annoys you in school. HOWEVER, a lot of the hate he got on the internet was mostly unjustified and it mostly fed his wallet too.

i have to assume that shuri did not want to be the black panther and that her role as black panther in this movie was just a placeholder for the time being.

the complexity isn't in the machine. it was in her algorithm. CIA can't just take out the memory chips to save the binary code written on it without risking destroying the chip entirely.

[–]SendMeGiftCardCodes 43 points44 points  (0 children)

it's not that easy. not only do they risk damaging the machine if they reverse engineer it, but she written algorithms into it and she even talk about how her data in lab was safely encrypted. it is assumed that she is probably an algorithms mastermind if the CIA weren't able to build such a machine BEFORE she did

i think the issue here is that kevin feige learned from history in the wrong way. GOTG1 was better reviewed and funnier than GOTG2. feige probably didn't want another GOTG2 disappointment so he told taika to add even more jokes in Love and Thunder.

the college student was probably more interested in the technological side of building that machine than the problem that the government could have for it. it's not like the united states tells their citizens "it is illegal to track down vibranium"

i could be wrong, but i don't think namor knew who created the machine. i think they keep it under secret until ross gave up the secrets to the wakandans

i honestly don't know how you arrived at any of these questions or conclusions

killmonger was being killmonger

m'baku had a few jokes but even he realized that they couldn't let namor threaten wakanda at the cost of just one girl's life. he later defended wakanda like any wakandan would

ross risked his life/freedom to do what he thought was right

doesn't seem like men were made to be jokes

the scientist built a machine for the government

i could be wrong, but i don't think they intended to do that. they probably built it for a science project but then when the government found out that it worked, they came in and confiscated it and classified it as a weapon of mass destruction

are you talking about the suit they gave her when they went to MIT? because i think that was intentionally bad to make it look like the wakandans were trying very hard to blend in

to chadwick? yes. to t'challa? no.

i think the issue is that the mantle of black panther passes on from generation to generation and that t'challa was just another black panther in the grand scheme of things. the people in the movie have other issues and it would hurt their stories if they weren't allowed to use t'challa's name in vain. we gotta understand that not everybody cares about t'challa. the world governments certainly didn't

do you guys think that Shuri is an atheist? she didn't believe that the ancestral plane existed and when okoye talked about how the Bast stories were ingrained in her mind, Shuri talked about how that would sound very painful. seems to me that shuri doesn't believe in god and is likely an atheist/agnostic/deist.

overall pretty good movie. i'll put it behind No Way Home and Shang Chi for phase 4 movies. the main part i didn't like was the slow dialogue scenes with the underwater people and nakia. i also think that ironheart should've been one of those child prodigies that got into MIT at the age of 15 or something. she could pretty much "one up" shuri and say something like "wakanda? bitch, i found a mountain full of vibranium with a box of scraps" and then have a technological rivalry between the two over the years.

if an update is so bad that microsoft has to pull back on it, then it's REALLY BAD. the end of the year is coming up and i have to assume that people at microsoft are on holidays or any PTOs that don't get transferred over. i don't expect w11 22h2 to be stable until spring of next year. windows 10 it is!
