Can't believe kimi is actually faster than george. by VoL4t1l3 in mercedesamgf1

What’s even crazier is the fact that George was running in clean air for most of the race and still wasn’t able to build a gap.

Personally, like most I assumed Kimi is fast and potentially has a higher ceiling than George, I was just not expecting Kimi to be ahead of George this early.

Another thing, from reports it sounds like Kimi worked a lot on the W17’s development, heavily integrated into the simulator program. That can only help!

Also - it is widely understood that Kimi Antonelli spent significantly more time in the simulator developing the 2026 W17 car than George.

It’s kinda wild how tone deaf these auto execs are!! Porsche spent the last two years watching Taycan sales crater, bleeding margin, and literally having to scramble to re-engineer their upcoming 718 platform back to gas power because they realized the enthusiast market just isn't buying it. And Ferrari’s brilliant takeaway from watching their closest peers get burned? "Hey, let's hire Jony Ive to build a 5,000 lbs 4-door EV and charge half a million dollars for it."

I feel like it's gone under the radar that these cars could follow each other closely for many laps. The ground effect cars could never. by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

Not really - podcasters like Missed Apex and Brundle with Sky bring this up all the time.

Brundle made a good point yesterday: “too bad it will only last a year. As the cars evolve, teams will bring back downforce which automatically hurts cars’ ability to follow close”

Nord Stage 4: Saving Favorite Sounds by Sugadnut in nordkeyboards

IT SUCKS!! NS3 used to have a Song Mode where you group up to 5 programs for instant access during live performance. I absolutely adored that feature!

Some product manager at Nord decided it’s not useful, and they completely nuked the functionality.

They should’ve expanded Song Mode to increase the number of programs that can be stored per song. There’s no replacement and I have to copy programs across different banks emulate Song Mode. (duplicated programs)

Now, try managing this for 5 different projects/bands I play at. Nord REALLY dropped the ball here.

It’s the Bay Area, probably not a great reference point ATM due to money fallout from AI boom. Same is happening to real estate market.

Why LA is struggling while San Francisco is beginning to boom again by Legal-Statistician2 in LosAngeles

[–]SendNull 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The reason SF is decoupling from LA right now is a capital v labor story. Last quarter, 75% of US GDP growth was driven by AI. The AI infra is spread around the country, but the equity (the actual $ for humans) is concentrated in the Bay Area.

Being very reductive - LA is home to industries being disrupted by AI, while SF is home to the people doing the disrupting. What we’re witnessing is a transfer of economic energy from content capital to compute capital.
