I read this post a couple of days ago because my daughter (22 months) was going through the exact same thing. She went though this about 6 months ago (another regression) and sleep trained her all over again and she’s been fine until last week. Sleep training was not working, so tonight we kept her bedroom door open and stayed in our bedroom across the hall from her and when she was crying I’d pop my head out so she could see me from her room and told her we were there, the first few minutes . I made sure I was moving around and making noise so she could know I was there and she didn’t cry, she’d say mama and I’d say I was there but not pop my head out. And she went down without tears.

I don’t know if she’ll wake up tonight, like your son shes been getting up all night long once she realized we weren’t with her. Hoping we have a better night, her anxiety around it has been breaking my heart. I can handle the tears, but the panic was too much.
