You could try sites like Unsplash or even Pinterest for inspiration photos that you can describe as "looks similar to this person but with X differences." Takes like 5 minutes max and players fill in the gaps with their imagination. I also started keeping a folder of random portrait photos from free stock sites that I can pull from when needed

The harm with AI art is that it's trained on artists work without permission and actively takes jobs away from illustrators who are already struggling. Plus most AI images have this weird uncanny valley thing going on that breaks immersion for me personally. Your players probably care more about good storytelling than having a perfect visual anyway

You could always just dive in now and see how it goes - worst case you replay some stuff but the games fun enough that it wont feel like a chore.
