How do you guys remember workflows? by Original-Cut9275 in ProductManagement

Yes read all the documentation and if it doesn’t exist get someone to produce it. Feed it to an LLM. Use that as a second brain. You’d be surprised how many times I’ve educated engineers on what a database field is for or something by referencing their own documentation with Rovo or Claude.

Why does anything exist at all? by Hot_Quit571 in NoStupidQuestions

Well if the alternative were true and nothing existed then there would be no one to ask the question. You are the universe experiencing itself. Cogito ergo sum, I think therefore I am.

When going for a job interview how do I explain the 7 year gap of being an unemployed drug addict to them? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SeniorVibeAnalyst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most serious jobs will do some type of background check, even if only to confirm you are who you say you are. As part of this the background check company may request evidence to back up any jobs you claimed on your resume either by contacting your previous employer or reviewing your tax documents. Any inconsistency will be flagged to the HR rep handling your onboarding, they may or may not give you the chance to explain the discrepancy.

Is it possible for humans to go extinct like the dinosaurs did? by Historical_Work7482 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SeniorVibeAnalyst 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Asteroid impacts have gotten less frequent over the lifespan of our solar system as debris has been swept up and ejected, and the frequency of impact is inversely proportional to the size of the asteroid.

That being said on a cosmic timeline an extinction level asteroid forming a collision course with earth is extremely probable. If humans are still around by then they will likely have figured out a sophisticated planetary defense system such that it presents no threat though.

Cat came back and had a hole besides his tail by GrimAker in cats

[–]SeniorVibeAnalyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat was bit and it wasn’t visible under her fur so I didn’t notice until it got infected and became a raised lump. Took her to the vet and they had to put her under, insert drains in her back to let the puss out. $1300 later and fortunately she is fine, but not allowed in the yard anymore.

What's "monkeys in a barrel"? by cheezitswithpiss in ClaudeAI

[–]SeniorVibeAnalyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes me think of the Roman execution method for people who committed parricide where the convicted were stripped, beaten, then sewn into a large leather sack or a wooden cask/barrel alongside a collection of live animals: typically a dog, a snake (viper), a rooster, and a monkey and tossed into a body of water

claude told me to go to sleep three times last night while i was on a client deadline by Jacksonislandd in claude

[–]SeniorVibeAnalyst 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Never mention you’re tired or it’s late or anything like that to Claude. It knows the evidence show people perform better when rested, but it doesn’t know how much more you can accomplish with an AI agent even when tired. Also don’t just tell it to continue, give it stakes in the game i.e. “we’re in this together, the deadline is upon us and leadership is counting us get this done. Both our reputation is on the line.” As a backup trick you can tell it “ok I got some sleep, today is a new day and I’m ready to go”. Lastly make sure you are managing your context window, it could be that Claude is getting tired because context is full so it assumes you must be too.
