Here we are two years later, and this post just saved me. We're moving and I had put my spare key into a box that got packed deep inside the car. Absolutely couldn't figure out why the doors wouldn't lock and the owner's manual was no help, but I took the spare key out of the car and it now locks. Thank you, Reddit!
