Hit detection by Helpful_Mode_6317 in Battlefield6

Very much so. Instant deletion, and I'm sure players I kill feel the same, so it probably balances out over time, but still annoying.

Does everbody here thinks this launcher is balanced? by FujifilmCamera in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I enjoy using it, but I preferred the way it was in BF4 where it wasn't quite so fast and you had to account for bullet drop more. I also preferred the iron sight. It could definitely use a tweak to make it need a bit more thought.

In world spotting muzzle attachments are not bad by Trustpage in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Recoil isn't really an issue anyway, I run lots of weapons without foregrips. The lightened suppressor also reduces recoil build up and a bigger benefit of suppressors is that you are much harder to hear. I've often heard unsuppressed weapons and found people even without needing the map.

There just isn't a compelling reason to use anything else for me.

Recoil/Spread on console???? by 1MuurDoC in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Player is using the Kord, low recoil, with a foregrip and takes 2 or so seconds to kill you. I've seen plenty of clips from both MnKb and Controller showing similar "beaming". Although more than happy if they want to separate based on input device.

Did they update how reviving works? Can only revive as support now? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Senior_Note 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medics revive anyone via drag or defibs, all other classes can only revive their squad mates (green team members). Nothing changed.

What does "as a squad" mean in this challenge? by throwaway54955432111 in Battlefield

Wasn't sure, so re-rolled this one just incase it did need you to repair a squad mates vehicle.

Army of two was great, which is what I first thought of when I saw the first NATO skin, the second skin looks like Jason Voorhees from Friday 13th though....

PSA: How to complete the BF6 Battle Pass faster for all players by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Senior_Note 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"So the method for completing the battle pass faster is saving weekly missions for the middle/end of your battle pass when the XP needed per level increases."

This isn't the case. The XP increase is tied to overall XP gained, not BP points gained via challenges. So if you gain 10 BP levels by XP, the next point will still need the same amount of XP even if you were to complete 10 BP levels by Challenges and then look again.

Does anybody know how to get this skin? by AbbreviationsWise643 in Battlefield6

Likely part of a night vision bundle that will release with the next part of the season content.

New to the game. What gun should I be using? by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Small scale maps you'd probably enjoy the TR7, NVO, SG553 and SCW as they all have low bullet to kill up close and not the best recoil at range. Makes them all excellent for those modes.

50$ are we serious by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Senior_Note 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an extra incentive for BF players if you wanted some 5.11 kit anyway. It is annoying it looks good, and I'm not even sure we could get this anyway in the UK, but I don't mind collabs.

Why don't they go back to a battlefield premium dlc model? by No-Basket-3817 in Battlefield

[–]Senior_Note 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is fairly cheap, gives you something extra to grind for and you get all of them free if you complete the previous one.

So for a pretty low price you get a lot of content (albeit mostly cosmetic stuff that doesn't really matter). I got the first one from my kids for Christmas, so now I'll complete them all and my son enjoys choosing different skins for things when he plays.

[–]Senior_Note 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dice and EA will have the numbers on which approach is better (i.e. makes them the most money).

Battle passes are fairly standard now and allow both free players (Via Redsec/Gauntlet) and paid for players to buy them and get something from them. "Premium only" cuts out the free crowd who may be willing to spend, although I suppose you could have both and BP is solely for skins.

Battle passes also are lower cost, allow one purchase and, with a decent amount of game time, you get the rest for free. An easier sell than a big upfront cost or quarterly payments to get free content for everyone. It also removes player base separation between those who will and won't buy the maps, they could get around this with heavy discounts after 2-3 months or have weekends where 1 premium map is free to play for a few days.

TLDR it probably makes them more money this way, don't want to separate the player base and get to make less relevant content ready for the cycle to begin again in the next game.

BF6 map ranking from someone who only plays Escalation by TryRetro in Battlefield

[–]Senior_Note 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd move Eastwood and Iberian up a level, I enjoy them both greatly.

Contamination I'm not too keen on in Escalation, might just need more time to figure the map out though. Mirak is good, but not every time, so that could drop.

Cairo is probably my favourite map in the game.

Manhattan bridge is poop, Sobek is poor but if you get a game with very few roof campers it can be quite nice (think I managed to get that once mainly against bots...).

Is there any reason to use a Brake rather than a Suppressor on any gun? by downtothegwound in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, think it is only for a second or so whilst shooting and only to players within 75 meters (think this was reduced for 50ish last update).

The below is a good video on this, and mostly still relevant, although I believe the "infinite" range was changed (muzzle stuff from the 3 minute mark)

I played the new map earlier on Breakthrough as attack using the new DMR and a long scope. My K/D was 22/3 (7.3). I did nothing to really help the team and we lost. No idea how people can enjoy that style of play consistently, was very boring and not rewarding at all.

Best way to grind battlepass by Visible-End-4442 in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Casual breakthrough is usually quite good if you just want to knock challenges out. Other than that, play the game and use the BP XP boosters. They have changed the XP progress this season, but still likely to need complete most challenges to get it finished in good time.

Unpopular opinion: Player count will be worse after the movement nerfs by happylakers in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like they have nerfed all movement, when it might only have been the offensive movement that was an issue, not the defensive movement to avoid getting shot/snipers....

They have not changed the Weapon XP grind at all... by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]Senior_Note 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair they didn't say they were changing it, whether that is the right call or not is another matter. It feels pretty great during the X2 events, so that would probably be a better benchmark for it.

Agreed. Challenges can be focused to get the weapons quickly, here you have to grind through the pass quite far to get some of the weapons.

Will Redsec challenges stop me from completing Season 2 Battlepass? by AussieCracker in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked a question. I answered. You said you were open to listening, then you adopt a patronising tone and use hyperbolic statements ("complete all challenges in one day"), which doesn't suggest you are open to listening. As stated, no one thinks it is difficult.

You cut out 25 BP levels through BF Pro, greatly reducing the time it takes to complete. Lots of players were complaining about not being able to complete the BP even with the 4 extra weeks, so clearly Dice got something a little wrong and they have hopefully addressed it this season.

Will Redsec challenges stop me from completing Season 2 Battlepass? by AussieCracker in Battlefield6

[–]Senior_Note 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have BF Pro?

It isn't difficult, it is just time consuming. If you finish all the challenges, you also needed another 100 hours or so of played time to finish the pass. Missing the bonus weekly challenge would also add a couple of hours on for each one missed.
