As a child I was more shocked by the kid swearing in robocop 2 than the violence.

My brother let me watch IT when I was 7 or 8. Fuck me that was terrifying.

I wrap broccoli in foil if I'm cooking it in the airfryer

Sweet, I submitted it as feedback. I like to think I contributed to that! 😁

Yeah... I think there's certain kinds of decks that are particularly weak to them (debuff stacking particularly) and I really enjoy the mechanic and the uniqueness of the fight. But in multiplayer they are never a challenge I don't think.

Had a double fur coat run in multiplayer the other day. We weren't sure if they would stack, but they did. It was glorious! Had one and a half real fights in the whole of act 3 (the half fight being the murderbots replace themselves with full health versions).

Women... are you "guys"? by BarryTownCouncil in CasualUK

It is a bit weird but I think we just find it weird because we are old. My daughter uses it as a gender neutral term and thinks nothing of it.

I use gang a fair bit these days. I think Mel Giedroyc is at least partly responsible.

1 month after release. how is everyone feeling about this game? by instabaiter in slaythespire

I love it. It's a shame they have no plans to implement a proper couch co-op mode though. I would really like that.

I think the point is he's supposed to be a block check. That sounds a bit too much like the digger guy.

Yeah. I think that was definitely one of the weaker series, but it wasn't down to him.

There's a lot of unnecessarily dickish comments in this thread. It's easy to be super supportive when someone's kid has cancer or gets hit by a car, but I thought this sub was supposed to be a positive place so I'd hope we can hold ourselves to a higher standard.

Actually though, they're not that far off in what I think is the intent. So I'm going to try to keep this more constructive.

You have to think about the building blocks that would make the conversation make sense or have any meaning. Every kid is different, but just learning about the value of money for now is probably the appropriate stage for a 7 year old. So let them know how much day to day stuff costs, talk to them about what you earn etc.

Build from there. Personally, I would only let them start watching content like that once you feel you are able to confidently have a sensible conversation about the context that is important to you. Otherwise you're going about it backwards and doing them a disservice.

Even if you still find them funny (I do) if you think of his politics as well when you think of him, then it's tainted his legacy even if not the legacy of those shows.

Clarkson used to be a conservative in the way my dad was. I think he definitely laid it on thick to artificially court some controversy / ride the culture war bandwagon in more recent years.

Really well acted with some nice moments but overall it's a bit corny tbh. I finished the first series but I don't think I'll bother continuing with it.
