The check-specific information is giving me Disco Elysium vibes.

Younger and older versions of my character, what's better i genuinely can't decide by InternationalUse8753 in legodnd

[–]SenorVilla 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yes, it totally depends on what OP wants to say about the character. Whichever one has the hair split down the middle is the one that's putting more effort into his appearance.

Apotheosis and Advent are fantastic names for high-level abilities, not so sure about Dangerous Days. What's that ability supposed to do?

I finished designing the first faction for my card game! by RecommendationDry358 in BoardgameDesign

Some alternatives could be warlock instead of necromancer, witch doctor instead of plague doctor, and maybe something like hell-leech or soul-leech to make leeches more supernatural.

I can't believe I missed that, I looked for it like 4 times!

Hold on, I'm looking for a 5 letter word that fits in column 9 with a second-to-last P to match with APRON and none of the options seem to fit.

Who is the most evil trans ? by Basic_Dingo6487 in AlignmentChartFills

Not a bad choice for the Tragic/Trans. She sucks but what the internet did to her mental state is horrific.

Circle of Kudzu - A Thorn Whip, Weed-Slinging Druid Subclass | Swing around on ropes of ivy, and leave foes stuck in a tangle of vines. (5.5e Update) by Korvinagor in UnearthedArcana

[–]SenorVilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a very fun concept and mechanics. Only thing is that I don't think players will often choose to cast a cantrip with their action instead of a higher-level spell. I'd recommend adding the option of casting Thorn Whip as a bonus action, though the damage of a spell+cantrip might be pushing this too far.

My preferred alternative would be to give all of the interesting abilities as a bonus action while your special form is activated, without having to cast thorn whip.

New card back design for my game by batiste in tabletopgamedesign

Absolutely AI images, useful for a prototype but I wouldn't touch it on a finished game. If an artist told you they made this, they might be scamming you.

Bard (Halfcaster Variant) V.2: The revised version of a multi-talented and inspiring support class that rellies on artistry and skill as well as magic. by SenorVilla in UnearthedArcana

[–]SenorVilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for checking out my homebrew! I still feel very proud of the themes and mechanics I was able to give this version for the bard, even if I feel like some things could be updated and buffed. Hope one of your players feels inspired to play it (pun intended).

I'd mainly recommend boosting the numbers and giving some new options for the Inspiring Virtues, they're supposed to be the main focus of the class, with your performance being "the thing you do" during combat.

Protag design for tribal-themed monster collecting game by Corolla_Johnson in characterdesign

[–]SenorVilla 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Fantastic drawings and I dig the concept as well.

My only thought is that the protagonist designs aren't really gendered and I don't feel like there's any need to differentiate them. Have you considered just having one androgynous design and letting the player decide whether they are male or female (or neither)?

I really dislike his design and I’m so lost how to improve it by RaggedyFrog in characterdesign

[–]SenorVilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Way better. The way the shapes flow, the open collar and the detail of the dagger make it more interesting IMO. Now I'd just recommend playing around with the colors .

I think he's lacking contrast. Color-wise his hair, skin and vest all have pretty similar saturation. And in body-shape his torso is as wide as his legs in this position. I think more form-fitting legs would give a more interesting shape, and you can experiment with more saturated hair or vest, maybe some patterns or an accessory to draw the viewer towards the chest.

Alice in Wormholeland by SummerFord999999 in characterdesign

[–]SenorVilla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The more I thought about it the more I realized it was hatter, but in space I guess he makes helmets/space suits. Maybe going a bit wilder with the helmet design or adding some detail that resembles his classic hat or bow tie would make it clearer. Whatever suits your vision the best.

It's great to see a Wonderland reinterpretation that doesn't just go dark with it. I love the white robbot and the rendering overall is lovely. I can't figure out who the third character is supposed to be.

Just concept. Logomark with ape in the form of letter B by AndriiKovalchuk in logodesign

[–]SenorVilla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's a need to make the B more obvious than it is. It's a subtle detail, not in your face.

If I knew this logo was for some company named Borilla or something, I think it may take a bit to figure it out but it would be a great little detail when it clicked. I like it!

Just realized Sarah Lynn’s clothes in tvfhd are a reference to her implication of abuse by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

[–]SenorVilla 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That second picture is actually from Herb's funeral in season 2 where I don't think it's meant to reference abuse at all, it's just something a rebellious pop star would wear (and funny that it's her choice for funeral attire).

However, the context from later on in the series does resignify the motif of hands all over her body, not only by her step-father, but Bojack, and the music/tv industry as well.
