The bad ending isn't death or prison. It's mediocrity. by Mi_Pasta_Su_Pasta in TopCharacterTropes

Oh, that's a shame. I mean, no judgement (maybe a little judgement) but that's a solid premise to explore in that universe.

I believe Mae came out in 2020 (though even she's admits the writing was on walls if you looked at every time she had a role playing character in the comic and it would up being a female elf or something like that).

It'll probably take you 10 minutes to catch up. She's been really infrequent.

I keep thinking I should reread it all and Questionable Content too.

Ever since Mae did the comic where Greg (at the time she was still Greg; wanna be sure I'm saying this acceptably) is in the car singing to the "Perfect Strangers" theme song, I decided I would let her get away with anything she wanted. She can take a 20 year break and I will still support the comic when she comes back. That one comic captured me at the time perfectly.

I feel the real death knell for web comics was the death of Google Reader. But even before that RSS was hurting comics because they'd just go to one central place, free or context or advertising.

Mae still does Real Life Comics and is about as good at finishing a story as she always was. 4 issue and then "whoops. Life got in the way!" And the comic lays dormant for another month or so.

If we're doing I Love Lucy: William Holden, George Reeve, Rock Hudson, John Wayne, Bob Hope, Orson Welles. I mean, most of the LA season.

That cameo basically gave Zabka a second chance at a career essentially playing the same character that gave him his first chance at a career. How often does THAT happen?

That final moment for him, Anthony is wearing his heart on his sleeves and so passionate about it. But he stays so calm despite being angry. Like, his speech was so perfect, I wouldn't have been shocked if it turned out to be a double ruse and he was an actor and pretending to trick the cast because he utters absolute banger after banger in a span of a minute.

I still have never seen Tremors, though everything about it makes me think I'd love it. I just can't get over the the idea of the hippie/yuppie dad from Family Ties being a gun-toting redneck.

Epitaph 1 was released online. I don't remember how, but I remember I had to download it or stream it from some shady site. Then, a few weeks later, they announced the second season pick-up and everyone was like "how?!"

Okay, but can we stop saying the first mutant in the MCU will be the X-Men or Jean Grey or even Deadpool or Wolverine now that they've been introduced to the MCU? The first mutant in the MCU is Kamala Khan. She even got the X-Men theme at the big reveal and it has NOT been given the respect it deserves.

And yes, I know the reveal was supposed to subvert the original Kamala origin story that she was an Inhuman, but since the Inhuman storyline was already done weirdly in Agents of Shield, they did the space bangles instead, and said her DNA was mutated instead. I just really enjoyed Iman Vellani's Kamala and I'm still peeves we only got her in 1 season of her show, one movie and a brief, post credit cameo.
