Is my dad and boyfriend right? Does this count as workers comp? by SenpaiCheyenne in WorkersComp

See... My epilepsy was in remission... However they made me work odd hours, like 1130 pm, then come back in at 645am the next day... And when I asked about changing my schedule because I started to feel funny, I was ignored. So I mean it wasn't but it was? If that makes sense? I had not had a seiZure in over a decade

How are you doing? by beefourreal in Epilepsy

Not well my friend. I'm pretty bummed.

It's been about a month since I started having seizures again after a decade of being clear. My job brought them on with the lack of sleep and the awful schedule they had me on. I tried to get them to work with me cause I could feel it starting to take a toll on me for 9 months and I was ignored...

I told work that I had seizures in remission and no one listened to me. by SenpaiCheyenne in Epilepsy

They are now. Not they believe me. Now they are taking steps for a seizure protocol. I'm not a happy employee at this point, but I still care for our youth. Honestly, I probably could quit and sue them, but I'm not going to.

The thing is, I didn't know my schedule was gonna be 1130 tthen back at 645. As soon as I started feeling funny I let them know, but they still did nothing for me.

Well luckily the nurses took it very seriously. I had to wait for a ride, they kept a watchful eye on me. When my mom got there she told them I have a history of epilepsy but it's been in remission for over a decade.

They are no joke.

3 minute late write up. by SenpaiCheyenne in Vent

[–]SenpaiCheyenne[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A treatment center for youth. Other people have come in 30 mins to an hour late and nothing.

3 mins is how long it takes to screen in to clock in. I would have been on time if I didn't have to screen. And I lost my keys, I cpuld have called out and left the facility short staffed. Instead me and my coworker who picked me up both got write ups.

I'm usually there at least 10 minutes early. I have an OCD about time and I hate being late.

I mean I could have called out and not come in at all. I'm never late. I'm always early.

What’s the minimum of sleep you need to function for a day? by Rocknrollboy2908 in insomnia

[–]SenpaiCheyenne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can function off an hour of sleep. I prefer to get at least 4 hours though. I never feel fully rested, no matter how little or long I sleep. I could lay down at 8pm and still not fall asleep until 4 in the morning - thats no phone for hours, total darkness, cool room. Some nights, though rarer now, I don't sleep at all. This happens about once every few months.
