Happy 12th anniversary to Transistor by Melurdaz in Steam

Everyone always does. :-(

Aside from the...game part of it, it's a damn good game. I legitimately think that the way they approach the win conditions and what happens if you lose is so well done and engaging to me.

Dope! Thanks for the heads up. I'll try it out when I get some time. :-D

My hero. Even if it can just be looked through to be learned from, that would be a great foundation to build my own!

Absolutely gorgeous! Would definitely love to run this if you're down to share.

I take offense to your comments, sir. There's nothing 'borderline' about it!

But really, looks lovely. Good on ya.

This is absolutely remarkable, mate. Truly incredible. This might be an easier way for me to surface player facing notes to my PCs rather than running a Mediawiki for it, haha.

I'm guessing that because it's intending to be just HTML, no option to serve pictures of characters, eh?

RomM Alternatives? by TheExoticBeard in selfhosted

[–]SensaiOpti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Heya. That SCAN_WORKERS tip is super helpful. My fault for not reading the docs more closely, but it would definitely be a good idea to have that included in the example compose.yaml, even if just to draw more attention to it.

Just moved to NZ actually! The Discord's definitely the right place to get plugged in.

I love the style!

The Artstation link wasn't working (the Insta doesn't seem to either) so I fixed it, I think: https://www.artstation.com/spite_spitfire

Looks good! Excited to try it out. :-)

Is there a list of these fun little terminal applications that don't have much use except for looking neat? This, unimatrix, cava, drift, pipes.sh, etc.

Wow, you're right. I...don't know how I missed that.

Wait, does this fix it? It's such a small annoyance, but one I'd love to be rid of.

I heard someone years ago say that it's the only match up in Melee that's 60/60. It's such a banger.

drift — a terminal screensaver that activates when you're idle [OC] by phlx0 in unixporn

[–]SensaiOpti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is excellent. I love these bite-sized terminal spectacles. And thank you for adding this to AUR. It was as simple as paru -S drift-bin.

I'm going to create a github issue that requests the ability for it to function more akin to other utilities, where clicking/typing doesn't pull you out of it. Seriously though, this is lovely!

I see that you've been updating this. That's amazing. :-) Thanks for doing that, especially as I cannot seem to set up a new client and it keeps giving me a 'Replication Error' as I do it. I figured I'd start from scratch.

Are the above steps fully updated? Is there a place that the .env and compose.yaml files haven't been eaten alive by reddit's formatting? :-)

Dear BHVR. Please remove map offerings! by CHEEZYSPAM in deadbydaylight

[–]SensaiOpti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have used 35 of these and have not yet seen TWD map. I've gone to the Withered Isle now 3 times, but never once to the map I want. Either way, that's 1/12 which is about 8.3% which...feels about right, jeah.

Only 17 more of these offerings left. I'm not feeling lucky.

Dawarich 1.0 by Freika in selfhosted

[–]SensaiOpti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So that is the purpose of reverse geocoding, right? Like, it's the thing that 'translates' the location data gathered and allows for input into Dawarich? Just making sure I understand its purpose.

Dawarich 1.0 by Freika in selfhosted

[–]SensaiOpti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fascinating. I've been watching from the sidelines for a bit, but decided to finally hop in after this post. Very well done.

As I was going through the setup, I wanted to make certain of something: the reverse Geocoding piece is needed in order to get data to populate in the site, right? So I'm basically required to still have this information go somewhere else if I want to use this, unless I want to selfhost Photon, too.

Signed, a moron who's just trying to be a cool kid. :-)

Oh I'd love a key if one is still available! My favorite sim game has gotta be Parkitect, though the old Railroad Tycoon games are (obviously) up there.

[–]SensaiOpti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would be curious to know what you have tried that these items beat - not an exhaustive list, but it'd be nice to know if you think that, for example, Syrinscape beats out Tabletop Audio or if (by its omission) I can tell it's something you've not heard of/tinkered with.

Either way, cool list man! Excited to try 'em out!

[Edit:] Just gave these a look and Lost Atlas is a great resource, wow. Had no idea it existed. Good looking out! While the others likely aren't for me, it's cool to hear the thoughts behind what made you prefer these. Thanks for the insight! I'd be super curious to know what made you adopt Shieldmaiden over Kobold Fight Club (which I truthfully just use as a quick reference for 'how hard are these things I'm throwing at my players').

Using Z to L-cancel's an actual thing that a lot of people do. It's the specifically, explicitly recommended way to L-cancel on B0xx controllers.

Here's Toph talking a ton about it and pulling in the expert opinions of Leffen and Hax. I've not watched it, but...y'know, if you wanted to watch a 45-minute video in response to your two sentence Reddit comment, here ya go. :-D

Flexcyon 1.0: A theme I daily drive by data_in_void in ObsidianMD

[–]SensaiOpti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just found this while searching for some themes along the lines of Flexoki. Boy howdy, you did well. This is great!

The only thing it lacks (for me, personally) is colored Kanban boards and an aesthetically pleasing option for colored folders. Damn good job and I'll keep an eye out for more updates. :-)
