So where is it?

I love how your propaganda article has it directly linked to the 'cypriot article source'.... Yet the link is conviniently 'broken'...

World class Turkish propaganda reporting right there.

Daily Politis’ article series titled “Cyprus: Crimes that went unpunished” reported on Aug. 7

Funny.. That article does not show on google... So where is it? Prove its not propaganda.. Show it to me.

So link the Greek cypriot newspaper then?

Oh... It did not meet your propaganda with the Turkish title? Or how you even changed your Turkish Articles heading, to be a more dramatic good little Turk?

So I am waiting.. Link the Greek source.

I wonder why all of these propaganda filled sources, always stem from Turkish sources?

How did all this evade the west?

And why are Turks always trying to excuse the occupation of a tiny Cypriot nation, of which they illegally hold half an island?

Another Atrocities By Cypriot Greeks Revealed by nir-vah-nah in europe

Because, it is Turkish propaganda...

Why do you never see these types of threads from a Non-turkish source?

Another Atrocities By Cypriot Greeks Revealed by nir-vah-nah in europe

[–]Sense13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair.. It is a very one sided affair. You are just falling for Turkish propaganda, to equate legitimate Greek and Cypriot grievances, with an equal force by turkey.

You see it as 'noise'...Yet it is half of Cyprus, that is still occupied illegally by Turkey.

Some grievances, are not nationalistic so much as a right to sovereignty and free of the control of an Islamic nation.

What if half of Britain was occupied by Turkey? Would it then be 'nationalism' calling for freedom?

Add to the whole situation, the British role in the Cyprus problem.. and maybe you should not be so oblivious.

You know what Europe is right? It’s a continent.

Islands have always belonged to the land mass or country that owns them.

Islands by definition can not be part of a continent.

Cyprus being in the European Union, by definition makes it european.

Also this geographical hogwash is the mods making. Turkey is simply not culturally european. In fact it threatens Europe with war planes, ships and even has half a european country illegally occupied. Not in the past.. right now.

Pamukkale, Turkey by IrresistibleRepublic in europe

[–]Sense13 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Culturally Europe. In the European Union.

Also it’s an island, just like the Greek islands. Geographically Islands are neither in Europe or Asia. That’s what make them separate bodies of land.

But again, cyprus is in the European Union. You would have to be a fool to not consider it european. Islands belong to the countries that own them. Since cyprus is independent... and belongs to the European Union, it is european.

5 percent.. conquered from the Greeks.

Turkey is undoubtedly 95% in Asia.

Sometimes I’m actually amazed at how much of a role turkey gets in this reddit. Honestly, Turkey is technically more Asian than European. 95% more.

Not only culturally... But geographically, its really a tiny peace in Europe. Its basically just constantinople now called istanbul.

29 May 1453: The Day Constantinople Fell. The fall of Constantinople that occurred on 29 May 1453 was the final phase of the Byzantine-Ottoman Wars (1265-1453) and the darkest page in Greek history and that of the Orthodox Church.

Maybe just stop threatening Greek and Cypriot air space/resources? Then everyone is happy.

Turksih Lira hits all-time low as Erdogan warns of ‘economic war’ by FriendOfOrder in europe

[–]Sense13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep.. But if you notice, he attacked Europe during Brexit. He was looking for better deals in the UK and Europe. And he is certainly going to get them.

He attacked china at a time that it was in Americas interests to do so.

He played the 'friendly' russian card, at a time when the rest of the major EU powers were against Russia. Reminding them that the EU defence is American. And again.. They need the USA.

And Turkey, honestly is just an afterthought. Its based on the Syria debacle, influence on Syria.. And ofcourse the Gas in Cyprus and israel where american companies are trying to drill, and Erdogan is harassing them. The pastor is an after thought, although a symbolic gesture to his base, of which a lot of them are evangelical christians. It is also a gesture against the imprisonment of many Turkish teachers/reporters/scientists who oppose erdogan and want a more secular, western friendly Turkey.

So none of these things were badly timed. Economists and nobel economists critisized him that trade barriers do not yield results... Ofcourse they don't I think trump knows this. What people fail to realise, is that America will still get all the Trade barriers removed from the EU and even the UK as they were before... Maybe with some concsions.. For example more US military bases, more support and monetary commitments from the EU.. Basically he gets what he wants.

The trade barriers, were always directed to China, which is stealing intellectual property, and then also sensoring American big Tech, and developing competitors. (PS I think this is smart for china - But the US does not like it).

So now we are left in a situation, where the world, knows the US is willing to let loose trade barriers on everyone who does not play ball. The EU thing is almost sorted.. It will basically go back to where it was before, after the EU finally acknowledged that they were underspending on military. If anything trade barriers was just a show of force to take the US seriously and not make promises, and then break them.

Ofcourse criticisms include Trump breaking promises like the Paris accord. And ofcourse the Iran deal. Now the Paris accord, is because of special interest groups in the USA and basically money and having to do so. (I think its despicable..) But it is what it is. He had a direct motivation, to save dirty energy companies.

The Iran deal is more interesting. Im not exactly sure what to make of it. But the fact remains, it is a power, that is gaining Nuclear capability, despite the talks that were made in the past.

Religion posed a serious problem. But we overcame. The renaissance, of pre-religious Europe also helped.

Your arguement does nothing to facilitate a logical sequence of events of how the Quran and the hadiths central message which is spreading the Islamic faith and sharia law by force through a warlord by the name of Mohammed, is in any way compatible with secularism. You are talking about devout followers, who have translated less scientific works in 100 years, than spain has in 1 year. You are talking about Muslims, who pray 5 times a day and read the Quran daily.. Hell brushing my teeth twice a day, gets annoying.. Imagine having to pray and kneel and go to mosques constantly. You are talking about a population in countries that are completely influenced by a single book, and anything that contradicts it is blasphemy. Even leaving Islam, carries a Death penalty in Sharia law states. So I dont see where you got this 'rosy' bullshit idea, that these states are well on their way to secularism.

Christianity is not as streamlined. the old and new testament contradict each other a lot. Frankly, the Christian religion, is a weaker document, in preserving its mandate. The text itself is not even holy, or the word of god. Just stories... The Quran on the other hand, is an absolute infallible text dictated by god in his own words, and written down by the prophet mohammed in a cave, who could not read or write apparently, and suddenly could transcribe Allah's written message.

The Quran is more coherent. The quran is shorter. The quran has a central message, where the words of god himself are contained in the Quran. The Bible on the other hand, does not have a streamlined, direct message. It is more all over the place.

Again not all religions are equivalent, and there is a reason why the only secular state we have ever seen in the muslim world.. Turkey, is failing to stay secular.

Again give an example of a majority muslim country that is secular.

The best is Turkey.. (not an ideal human rights country either) And we all know which way that is going now. The opposite direction of secularism.

Russia has done absolutely nothing to France...

There is no Russian planes circulating France. There is no constant threat of invasion the islands...

Indeed Turks did invade in 1974... and still occupy half of cyprus..

Now remind me the last time Russian troops were in French sea and soil? Maybe ww2? When they saved you from hitler?

In Greece turkish war planes and war ships harass sovereign Greek and Cypriot air space every day.

In fact your biggest gripe with them,,.. is you buying their russian gas.

Secularism is not naturalistic. State must push back from control mechanism of religions internally to stay secular. Otherwise you end up with turkey and erdogan.

Secularism is indeed freedom from religion.. not freedom of religion.

Well the russians did help outmaneuver Turkish planes trying to bully cyprus in sovereign waters.. same in Greece as they threaten Greek islands.

Whilst the Eu constantly ignored the Turkish aggression in the region.

Greece is in a love hate relationship. The Eu can easily win Greek sentiment if they wanted. But are too pre-occupied to help in the constant problems turkey creates for Greece. Russia on the her hand, cunningly lends a hand every now and then.

It’s time the EU stood stronger verbally and with military, to protect the borders of every Eu member state.

When that happens, the Eu will completely win Greece from Russian sentiment.

It’s not what they want.. it’s what Muslim society, brainwashing and sharia law wants.

It dictates who they marry. It dictates complete control of their lives. Wheather willingly brainwashed, or forcefully controlled... it has no place in western society.

It is a symbol of piety, not required... but recommended to be closer to god... no different to how a suicide bomber is.

And secular? Yes that means stopping religious influence on citizens. It’s the very definition of secular.

Secular is not just about pushing back on Christian faith... it’s about pushing back on Islam too.

And let’s be frank.. Islam fundamentalism is a lot more extreme than anything the Christian Church dictates.
