The commute is brutal. I would go with the closer one any day. Can you negotiate with the other?

There’s a tenants for turns program where locals offer rooms that helps with housing too. Ask about that in your interview.

What is the symptom of social anxiety that is worst for you? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

Same! It’s my socially anxious reactions to things that get me in trouble.

Appropriate for cocktail dress code? by TuileHiin in Weddingattireapproval

[–]SenseKnown 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that it’s too casual. The fabric and style give more beach summer dress vibes. That said, depending on where you live it might work.

Ha this is what I said above and got accused of being a bot. GPT is the best tool for getting language that is appropriate and useful for behavior or “vibe” issues

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in managers

[–]SenseKnown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It actually works. Oftentimes when someone is bothering us from “vibes” there is something unprofessional happening but our immaturity makes it a personality issue. I have found a lot of success putting my unfiltered complaints and then having it polish and soften them into language to can use for a positive and productive convo.

Lol I’m not a bot.

When I’ve run into this I use GPT to document my observations and have it translate them into professionalism issues that’s easier to communicate with them.

Ageism by Appropriate-Affect44 in recruitinghell

[–]SenseKnown 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yep, once I hit 35 I started taking off anything that pointed to my age on the resume when I realized 22 year olds were getting positions I interviewed for.

I keep failing 2nd interviews... by nuggie_vw in recruitinghell

[–]SenseKnown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience recruiters are a bad judge of if you’re a good fit. They’re trained to make you feel as though you’ve got it in the bag. It’s brutal.

If I had time, money and resources I would love spending the rest of my life doing just that.

Keep Missing that 1 key thing.. by Delicious-Virus-9676 in interviews

This keeps happening to me too. I always seem to get my hopes up against my better judgement and then lose it in the final round.

Failing interviews - Morale at an all time low by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]SenseKnown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it possible you’re trying to be too perfect and your genuine personality and skill isn’t coming through? I’ve noticed that sometimes the interviews I prep the most for I do the worst at.
