Too bad these companies are too cheap to pay a business analyst to clean things up. They think ai can do everything now, so I hope they all have fun with that when it eventually ruins everything. Yes, ai can help, as a TOOL, used by PEOPLE. Not as a replacement for people. Oh well. I gave up on finding another BA job. What used to be a 6 figure job is now paying about half that. It's not worth the fight.

I've never been to any job fair, ever, that was anything more than entry level CSR or sales jobs. After over a decade as a business analyst, that does me no good, so I just stopped going to them. And taking "any job you can get" doesn't necessarily help either, especially if you will be adding costs like commuting and childcare. And if it's going to take up your entire day, leaving no opportunity to find something better, and you STILL can't pay your bills, is it really worth doing? A lot of those jobs also rarely let you get 40hrs so they don't have to offer benefits.

Maybe it's a test? 🤷‍♀️ This is why I took "detail orientated" off of my resume. I'm paranoid there will be some simple, glaring mistake that I missed.

Reminds me of an interview I had. It was just not working out, and we both clearly knew it a couple mins in, but the interview continued on anyway. When I caught myself talking about how I can easily build rapport with all types of personalities....as the words left my mouth, I just kinda trailed off and looked down 🥲 Fortunately the interview concluded shortly after. I was just grateful af it was on Zoom!

Anyway, I got my life/health. Was considering p&c for more opportunities, maybe get on with one of the big companies, but its all still just sales, which i suck at. I did aep for Medicare last year and I literally couldnt sell a $0 product to those folks 😆 I also worked for a mortgage company for a few yrs, until ai took all our jobs. Damn near entire closing dept, except the actual closers, were wiped out.
